Mark Hughes watched for himself Townsend's only really good match before Big Sam stepped in. When we smashed the Potters 4-1 and Andros was MOTM. Up it to 22-25 mill (what West Ham paid for their winger) and we should do business. Bolassie back, vow that would be something....

I know its only gossip but why would we want to sell one of our best players?? I would have thought the chairman would be straight out saying NO- He's not for sale! and certainly not for £15m for a 26 year old player who had a good season last year and should have an even better one this year.

i dont see why we would sell andros for £3m than we signed him for...last season his workrate doubled & became a real team player...cant they buy sako for £5m?

Hope this article is bollocks.. says Palace have made Townsend available and would accept £15m Says we've turned down £10m (unnamed) Says Rafa is interested but as they signed two wingers he'll struggle getting a deal done. £15m for Townsend IMO is cheap. Hope it bull but you never know.

Sounds like complete tosh. Anyone can see that we are very short on the right of midfield. In addition Townsend's firm at the end of last season was superb. Why would we sell him for less than it would cost to replace him?
