Another stern test; they're flying and our start will give them confidence. i'd like to see him start with pretty much a full side..certainly for the first half...but I'm also conscious that we have an important league game on Sat. Would be good to see Jimmy mac and Cabaye featuring for sure. I can see us sneaking this 2-1

As far as i'm aware there's no knowing what team Ipswich will put out really. Championship sides have sometimes rotated teams to focus on the league. There might be some point in putting players we want to sell "in the shop window" such as Mutch, Lee etc, but imagine if one of them does his cruciate and we're stuck with them on the pay-role! I'm glad it's not my decision. Cabaye & Mac a half each?

Let's not forget that Ipswich have won all 5 games they have played this season and they might not resort to introducing some fringe players so it could be a tough game for us. I think they'll make a lot of changes to their team. Almost all teams seem to do it now.

Mick McCarthy has mentioned that with their injury problems they will be fielding fringe players.At least he has been honest with his supporters who don't travel only to be disappointed when they hear their line-up.

If we lose tomorrow it will be a disgrace, whatever team we put out with the squad at our disposal, as Ipswich are changing their entire team and up to 8 players could be making their debuts according to McCarthy. They are only interested in protecting their players for Fulham at the weekend, so we should be looking for a real good boost of confidence !

League matches - you can have another try: cup matches - you do not have that luxury. It will be eleven/fourteen against eleven/fourteen. Ipswich, as for any cup game are likely to be "going for it" supported that they have time to gather league points. Our players have a Chairman, Manager and Director of Football (and supporters) all of whom need to be impressed. I expect them to give good accounts of themselves. COYP
