Yes, results with style would have been fantastic, but looking increasingly likely we're reaching an ultimatum on one or the other!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Both Pulis and Allardyce found success through putting results over style. Pardew got the sack for putting style over results. QED

Yep, don't those pompous tw@ts on MOTD love plucky little clubs like Blackpool who entertain them with their possession play against the top four? Where are they now?

Results over Championship football.

We were better because we had a cause. The first half the only cause both teams had was not to concede first and bored the s*** out of all of us. As the home team the onus was on us, but we looked uncomfortable and I have to agree with FdB scared. If his mention of this does upset the dressing room then we have an even weaker bunch of cowards than we thought. The manager has the right to speak as he finds and he is as frustrated as us and all of us are s*** footballers, it must be 20x worse for him. The midfield demands players that demand the ball and that means Cabaye in a 4-3-3.

Good assessment. The 1st half was a disgrace from both teams. Wasn't difficult to see the problems from the first 15 mins. Either manager could of changed their teams then and perhaps changed the game. It was only 2 mistakes that separated 2 unconfident poor teams. Most galling was they were tonked by ManUre last week, we almost grapped a point at Anfield. We don't seem to be a team that can get at teams at home early, usually a mistake like Hull occurs.

Swansea missed two, maybe three chances prior to their first goal incl a free header from a corner.

Don't be fooled by the Anfield result. Couthino wasn't on the pitch and he would have buried at least one free kick - as the statuesque WH was watching on his line.

And why would he want to come to us right now when Huddersfield are everything we are not.
They have a plan, they have players to implement that plan, they have energy and commitment and a Club that is as one.
Right now I am sad to say that my beloved Palace have none of that.

Correct. The stats after 30 mins in Saturday's game don't lie, Huddersfield 5 attempts on goal against Soton, us 0 against Swansea. They haven't changed largely from last season, we've gambled after Sam unexpected departure. Not sure if Sammy Lee was offered the position but that would of made the most sense, or someone close to Sam's plans/ideas.

Similar to Huddersfield then. 4-6 good chances for the opposition to score and 2-3 put away.

He'd better promise to adapt and do it or I'd fire. Without a full strength team to select it's suicide.

I agree. Been an absolute shambles in the home games so far and too many excuses being made for him.

Defensive organisation should be the bare minimum.

It's clear that Parish etc have an obsession about making us 'entertaining', despite the fact that this has failed already under Pardew with most of the same players.
To anyone with a brain, the obvious problem is that our squad is not good enough. We stayed up thanks to Sam Allardyce and Sakho and now we have neither.

This really isn't that hard to figure. Get rid of this dreary no personality Dutchman and employ a proper PL experienced manager, sign Sakho and get some cover for our forward players. We have none.

And how effective was he against Huddersfield under our 'new system' (being kicked to buggery notwithstanding)?
