Poor window imo. Good loans but they are only loans and a player we all knew about last season signed at the last min instead of pre season. O but we did save 4 million.

Cant wait till the last day of the jan window when it all happens again and we end up with the sloopy leftovers rather than be professonal and get all the jusiness done early.

I am concerned that we only signed Sakho, but what a signing and I will try to be more optimistic. With him back, and Wilf and Yohan still with us, we have the same Squad that battled so well for us last Season plus the addition of RubenLC who is a quality player. On the goalkeeping front, there will be experienced free agent keepers out there looking for a Club but what is wrong with giving Jules a go and benching Wayne ? It will be good to get Connor and Papa fit again and back in the Squad but I believe that both Sulley KaiKai and Dann started out as forwards and we know how good the latter is with headers. Ladapo is still learning at a higher level but he has the attributes to be a good target man so he may well turn out to be a surprise package if he gets a run in the Team.The scenario is not ideal, I grant you, but hardly the grounds for depression. We have not, as yet, played to our strengths and now that the Transfer Window has closed, FdB will know that he will have to make do with what he has and lean on their abilities. However, he may walk away on the grounds that our Board welcomed his ideas and Plan but fell short when it come to financing them. He should make Sakho captain and listen to ideas coming out of the dressing room. Such a change will remove pressure off Punch and get him playing freely again. Whatever happens, Sakho has an influential part to play and I cannot see that he will shy away from making his opinions known. We do have a good Squad of players who are down on confidence but this will change when we revert to playing a style which they feel comfortable in. We have some very skillful
youngsters coming through who look more likely to be the ones trained for the needs of the footballing revolution that FdB is looking for. I reckon that a 4-4-2 of the following would give Burnley a good game :-

Buying Sakho earlier would not have made him any more match fit.

Everyone here wanted Sakho and we have him probably at a cost of nearly all our budget, however most on here are getting their knickers in a twist over a goalkeeper. We do have two goalkeepers who can do the job so people need to get things in perspective.

The following are all goalkeepers who, if available, people would be clamouring to buy:-

Hart goals conceded 10
Cech goals conceded 8
Schmeichel conceded 6
Bergovic conceded 5

Sometimes it's not all about the keeper but the team in front of him. Remember against Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool last season Hennessey only conceded two. Should tell you something.
