Sadly it is and now the ones who wrote Frank off before we kicked a ball in pre season are forcing the "be positive about Roy" stuff down everyone's throats. It's hilarious.

For what it's worth I'm not that opposed to Roy as manager and I think he probably can be the "safe pair of hands" many seek, at least for a year or 2. It's the way it's come about and the events of the last couple of days that I'm opposed to, all just a complete mess and serious questions now need to be asked of Parish in my opinion.

All well and good saying it's the yanks but he was the one to let them in and the buck or "busk" as Parish put it stops with him.

You must be easily amused then?

The problems began when the team STARTED to kick the ball under FDB's direction. I could not have beared to attend any more home games with him in charge.

I'll be there on Saturday now Roy is here.

He has also won more silverware than Allardyce could have done, of course. That is because they specialise in avoiding relegation.

If you read the second paragraph where I said I'm not opposed to him being manager and that he can be a safe pair of hands then the answer is no it's not what I'm doing in the slightest. Am I happy we've ended up (unnecessarily in my opinion) here though? No chance

I really can't be arsed. Instead, how about you back up what you're saying with some facts of your own? That's usually a good starting point.

This whining about where we are achieves what exactly? What is your ultimate goal in this? It does come across pretty pathetic and dare I say 'entitled'. I don't actually know what you want apart from a giant SORRY from everyone in the 'wrong', maybe just a cuddle and a cocoa?

May I ask, those out there 'shocked and outraged' at where we find ourselves with Roy, have you always been one of those against our current ownership? There are a few about it seems, and it's good to stick your colours to the mast so we all know where we are.

Safe pair of hands it may be. But I think you'll be in for a disappointment if you think that in the long term you'll see better football under Hodgson than the end goal we potentially could've got to with Frank

Just my opinion though, but apparently 4 games is enough to implement a new brand of football and also enough to deem it a failure, especially when the last of which is the best I've seen Palace play in possession in years. I find it incredible that people definitively can tell someone else that the experiment was a failure in that period of time.

Nope, I've been vocal in my support for Parish pretty much unconditionally but I personally think the way he's acted has been shambolic and it's given me a new perspective on him and I think he has completely run out of ideas and his twitter outburst was a joke. Thought he could pull the wool over Palace fans eyes knowing full well he's about to sack a manager.

Now you're just making stupid assumptions because I'm not bowing down and worshipping Parish and Hodgson.

It MIGHT have worked but not in the short or possibly medium-term. Very likely it would have cost Palace their place in the Premiership and I amongst others wouldn't have wasted our time or paid to watch the evolution. The experiment was never going to land running. It was a dreadful mistake hopefully rectified and we're back to our normal business of trying to survive in the Premiership. FDB can now afford to drop his salary and coach a good Championship or League 1 team to rise to the top level. He can learn the business and develop his knowledge there but not at our expense.

Whether or not you think that is right. I stand by my point that is humiliation and a shambolic way to of acted sacking a manager after 4 games. Whatever would've happened beyond is just a guess bt 4 games is absolutely no time to implement anything whatsoever. That group of players couldn't even get the hang of Allardyce "pragmatic" tactics after 4 games so that pretty much tells you everything you need to know. He wasn't given a fair crack at the whip and people tryna justify it with "the players thought he was weird" "Damo didn't like the fact that one of the best centre halves of all time told him about how to be a better centre half" are having a laugh.

Anyway we are where we are, but it's just annoying that people who were so toxic about the club trying to look long term for once and having a vision etc. And writing managers off before the season started or even after 4 games are now telling everyone "you must be happy about Roy".

Oh I'm real ... just had better things to do on a Saturday than watch an idiot mess with the team I've followed for almost 50 years.

The last two home games were probably amongst the worse I've seen in a long while.

You dedicated chaps could have had it all 'cos you'll probably sit and watch anything. However, I'll be there on Saturday not because I've paid for my season ticket but because I want to watch football.

I understand your frustration because, although Burnley retreated after 30 mins, I thought there were good signs. But Frank steered us and himself where we are by his choice. He completely about turned on what was agreed and communicated to the public. How would you feel if there were hundreds of £millions at stake after that charade? And then what was on show after pushing and pulling players out of position for a formation that would never work, and one it sounded like he hadn't given up the intention of using. All happening while he was alienating players he would need within weeks or days.

Really you rarely hear about managers coming in and doing this and behaving in this way. It's reckless when the stakes are huge and quite frankly, my assessment that he wanted to go about his advertisement here asap still stands. He obviously knows a lot but hasn't got the skills to go about implementing it. His knowledge might work at a massive club or starting from scratch at a championship club or another small league in Europe but here you have 38 very challenging games anyone can punish you. It may surprise you I wasn't impressed he was sacked but taking a step back it's for the best.

All he had to do was take 2-3 windows, be patient to get rid of deadwood but use them until then, be polite to people, get along with them, deliver the points we know we can, and in about 12-18 months almost have a completely new team with all those lacking in ability he couldn't suffer, all gone. But he wasn't patient and imo is because he wanted out of here because he wanted Southampton and before that Liverpool and was going to be determined to get up there asap. We really weren't valued at all. Or do you think we were and he was going to revolutionise the whole club from top to bottom over 5+ years after lying to the owners and fans? And on that note, why we've hired freedman with no experience is beyond explaining.

I would have sacked him after three games. I've not said anything about Roy other than I welcome his arrival (... or rather FDB's departure).

I don't sit I stand and vocally support the players on the pitch, regardless of the manager.

I've never subscribed to the idea of leaving early, let alone not turning up because of style of play...and I've seen some FAR worse matches than the last 2.
