6-0 is not too bad I will take that, double digits would take us to a whole new level which is a nasty thought given some people are asking how much worse...?

I'm not too sad currently however, at least we get to see some heartless, spineless, honour and talent bereft mugs get humiliated once again, I do enjoy that!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

How do you know that any player is heartless, spineless and lacking honour?

It's a sad reflection on our current state of affairs that in our predictions optimism is not expressed in thinking we might win but in thinking we might score a goal!

I think we will probably lose but also don't think we will be thrashed.

With heavy heart I predict a mullering. I'd like us to surprise Man U with a total blanket defence, never even leaving our own half, for a 0-0 just to see the look on the face of the moany old git Man U manager. I read about a team doing that once - an heroic 0-0 after a string of thrashings - but unfortunately it was a kids' novel when I was at 'Junior School' as it was called back then.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

We're due a win from one of the next two games IMO. No idea how but the law of Palace promises it.

0-3. Ladapo hat trick.

If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4

As despite resentment and all logic ATM I've managed to either go to or stream every game bar Bromley and Ipswich this season, so it's evidence based (albeit subjective)

Our only chance of scoring today looks like a Darren Ambrose-esque wonder goal and I feel like I'd trade my monthly pay for that right now, just one goal, just one....please

Oh btw Pete I agree it's a sad reflection but not disproportionate.

I'd certainly like to speculate at this moment that avoiding a stuffing but actually SCORING might have some impact on morale/belief.

Breaking this duck might be an albeit small game changer for the run until X-mas!!

The only thing is that quite a few of our previous "shock" victories against top clubs have come when we are in some kind of form. Take last season. The win at Chelsea came after a run of 3 wins against lesser opposition. We then went on to beat Arsenal and Liverpool with some confidence in the side.

My concern is that if we go a goal down what confidence there is in the team will quickly drain away.

My concern is that it will be 'when' and not 'if' we go a goal down.

Cut out all the pessimism. Jeez. If we can restrict Bromley to only one goal then there is no reason why we can't do the same today.
