Lol. There a lot of stories like that around the club - was there for a similar cup game against Port Vale a few seasons back which was interesting for all sorts of reasons. Only been going there for about 20 years now since I moved over this way but it’s all very different now they’ve a nice little stadium & a small but loyal fan base.

It’s usually a good day out.

You'll no doubt have heard tales of the two FA Trophy runs as well then. One to the final at Wembley and another to the semi against Bishops Stortford. I've never seen such sustained 'fan fighting' as at the two legs of that semi. Both matches were effectively a running battle with a bit of a game of football going on in the background. I had an associate who supported Dartford and Millwall, and he and his mates were in the thick of it. Need I say more?

I've read articles about Dartford's current set-up and it sounds very impressive, with its 'green credentials' etc. I'm so glad they managed to bounce back after the sad demise of Watling Street. I hope you enjoy the day.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Got to do a load of jobs round the house. Got to make awkward small talk with other parents at my kid’s mate’s birthday party. Got to do a family visit. Got to go to church (kids go to Catholic school). Got to go food shopping.

With no Palace, it's gonna be the best weekend for ages. Buzzing!

With no Palace game scheduled next weekend due to international matches being played (again!) I may watch my local side Sutton United. Just £5 for Palace season ticket holders! And free for under 16s :-)

Or you could cut the grass :-)

See if you could pinch a few strikers for Palace whilst Sutton aren't looking...

Mickey Flanagan is excellent for this type of humour. The curtain twitching type of stuff, sausage sandwiches allowed as the missus is out. First task of the day. Have a w@nk, then the rest of the day is your own.

Weird innit? I find myself just w**king because the opportunity arises and not because I want one. He's bang on about that.

Don't feel guilty.

It's good exercise. Gets the heart rate up. If you need a walk, have one.

Yeah, know a few that were there on both occasions.

It's a decent little club these days & a great way of introducing kids to the game as it's rarely dull.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!
