Not the sort of form that's good enough for us to recover from our start.

The performances have been very good, but not backed up by results. We need to be absolutely ruthless from now on.

We have 8pts from the last 6. Assuming that pattern for the rest of the season - 8 pts from every 6 games - we should stay up easily

And all at home, along with 8 goals, unusually for us in recent times.

Gonna be tight.

With that form and Hodgson's past records of rescuing clubs at about 1.1 or 1.2 points a game will see us finish on about 36pts

Is that enough ?

as i say, its gonna go close to the wire.

If he does save us its going to be miraculous and he really will be a saviour more than Pulis or Big Sam

thoughts?

You do know that he's no longer at WBA, right?

We will need to go to the teams around us and win a few - they drew at ours so we must do better at theirs given our deficit.
We can do it though!!

Or Pardew! The bitterness some fans still feel for this bloke is odd. So much that you even air brush him out of history.

not exactly bitterness. Just a complete vote of no confidence in his talents and abilities as a manager. If he goes to one of our relegation rivals then good. Their squad will look flat, unconfident and disheartened in a nanosecond. And if Pardew takes them down, i will love the man.

Sadly - and as much as I detest Pardew - he will make an instant difference to them.
It is when he gets a chance to do hois own thing that it will all unravel - sometime next season probably - but this season he will keep WBA up (if he goes there) and they will probably beat us on Saturday!

This may sound loony, but, if we can get 10 points from the next 5 matches, we will be on 18 points from 18 games, which would be spectacular considering where we were 2 months ago.
We have to be ruthless against the teams in and around us. COYP
