Just rewatched the highlights on sky and was interested to see Milo rip into Benteke when Zaha whipped a ball across the goalline (the one that went all the way through).
At the time I wondered why Benteke wasn't in the mixer and having watched it back, it's because he was just stood still holding hands with Dunk. During the whole build up (schlupp laying it back to Zaha, Zaha becoming free) he literally doesn't move, why will he never ever get in the sodding mixer.
For me he's got his attributes (heading, giving the team a more dynamic shape) but I would happily twist in January for someone who is willing to GET IN THE MIXER.
I'll check if that's a stat on football manager and report back in January.

Frustrating thing I find with Benteke is he's useless with the ball at his feet. Yes, I know his strength and the quality he brings is in the air but for the money we paid for him we should expect that he's capable of bringing the ball down and bringing others into play. Whenever he has the ball at his feet or tries to do anything other than knock it on he invariably looses possession He's a very frustrating player to watch. Would have loved to see him with a Defoe type alongside him.

What I can't get is why Palace and all the other Premiership clubs looking for strikers haven't worked that one out before.

That's a fair point and I must confess that I have not really followed Burnley's tranfers this season.

from a quick search, was it Chris Wood 4 goals and Jack Cork, 2 goals. (correct me if I'm wrong) Also that is their tally in a team that is playing the best football they have ever played.

I will put myself out on a limb and say that neither of those players will outscore Benteke this season. IMHO.

Although, I hope I'm not wrong, as we need him at his best.
