Whats done is done.... it was a massive disappointment that we didn't score a last minute penalty winner. But to be honest a draw was probably a fair result. Getting on Bentekes back will do nothing but INCREASE OUR CHANCE OF RELEGATION. The guy is going through a lean patch (like all strikers do) and the fact that he insisted on taking the pen tells me that he cares, and that he wants to score for this team. If he had he would be the hero. Unfortunately in his attempt to redeem himself and get his mojo back he has dug himself into an even deeper hole. Please lets not turn this into another Shefti Kuqi affair, we can't just swap him in January for someone else. Yes we should be looking for alternative striking options in jan but we have invested heavily in this guy and need to help him back to his best if we are to survive.

Why not? Sell him for £20mill and buy my 81 year old mum for £1mill. Her attempt at a penalty, I guarantee, would be no worse than his.

On the subject of strikers couldn't help wondering how a
veteran Defoe and GM would have performed together today - no forget it both far too old and well past their best.

Can you run really slowly, show general disinterest and kick a ball as hard as a 6 month old baby? If not the club aren't interested.

Is there a rule on net colour. Maybe if we make the net a luminous gold, he might be able to find it

Who do you think will buy him for 20 mill ? And how many prem strikers will we then need to find ?

If you genuinely think he's not worth £20 mill with the current finances in football, that probably shows how bad he has really been. Didn't Bournemouth sign Ibe for £20 mill

And what's even worse is that Benteke's arrogance has probably affected the spirit of the dressing room and not in a good way. We think it's two points lost today because of his miss but that rubbish attempt at a goal and his stupidity in not letting Luka take it could well mean a lot more lost.

I say it once more and for the last time in venting 'CVNT!!!'

I share this.

I reckon Benteke got it from several players in the dressing room after they should've stepped in at the crucial moment. Possibly Roy as well and maybe Parish at some point.

Sell him to China, gives the kids a chance next couple of weeks. He is a disgrace, falls over when hardly touched; Mark Hughes was a lot smaller but could a defender muscle him off the ball? Does he run/look interested? How much did Austin cost Southampton? Runs more than Benteke. Do not want to see Benteke intents am again.

I've just watched the alleged penalty attempt from the fan's view. Zaha is going apes*** shouting at the dug-out to sort it out.

I just watched again because I missed this but he does. Wilf is such a legend. He also gets stopped from yelling at Benteke by someone but can't tell who
