lucky i am not in football management. if i was Roy i would employ a £20,000 a year Vinnie Jones type to destroy Benteke in training. the boost to morale and work ethic for the rest of the squad could keep us up. Edited by PalazioVecchio (04 Mar 2018 12.30pm)

It has been a tale of two seasons for the big man. His goals kept us up last season and his lack of goals could cost us this season. To say he is our biggest flop seems short-sighted to me. It does seem like he has lost his bottle this season, for whatever reason, but to pretend like he has never been any good is just not right. I agree that now we have another option he should perhaps sit on the bench for a couple of games, but I think this attacking of our own players is just childish. He's never said a bad thing about the club or the fans. Personally I think he may well end up in China next season as he perhaps needs a year out to get his head straight and practice scoring again. He also doesn't really fit the Roy mould, if Roy stays on (and we stay up).

This lean spell your on about has cost the club £30.000.000 and £120.000 a week for what exactly 2 goals and a load of unimpressive nonsense.The man's Sh*t and going nowhere fast to be honest all us fans have had enough of his poor contribution to help the club and his team mates,all he's doing is holding his hand out at the end of the week getting paid for doing nothing.It's out of order he should be sold on so he can go and mug some other team off we wouldn't get at least half of what the club paid back.His so called ability is nothing but crap he himself would agree bench the man or tell him to jog on.

He got a bad injury at Villa, can't remember which one, and most pundits say he lost pace and hasn't been the same player since. We bought him for £27m. Baring in mind Giroud went to Chelsea for £15m, how much do you think we'd get back if we sold Benteke?

Liverpool paid £32.5 Mill for him and in his season there he scored 10 goals but was not a regular starter.Last season of course he scored 15 PL goals for us which wasn't bad considering he was playing for a struggling team.
