I saw the game live on beIN and the Thai commentators were spot on with their analysis of Benteke. He's not going to score unless he gets a millimetre accurate pass to his head, he lacks positional awareness and he lacks commitment. Being saying this for a while now. He drifts to the back post and does nothing else, it must be so easy for the opposition to defend against. What summed it up for me yesterday was when Luka and McCarthur (i think) were both battling for the ball just outside our area, it bounces to Benteke as a Spurs player is chasing it down and he just flicks his toe at it and they regain possession, I can only imagine that he didn't want to get hurt. It must be so frustrating for his teammates to see him not putting in half the effort they are. Sorloth may not be the complete answer but I bet he'll win more headers, chase more loose balls and give defenders more of a hard time. Edited by A89M (26 Feb 2018 1.10pm)

We have to drop Benteke when Wilf is back, I cant see any other option. The alternative is we keep playing him and getting the same results so lets try something different. The guy needs putting out of his misery and taking out of the firing line. Hes not capable of turning around himself so action has to be taken.

at the time of writing , we are back in the bottom three of the prem table. so, lets all give a big round of applause to the greatest flop we ever remember. Roy, please give a start to the bespectacled old fat bloke that gives train information at East Croydon station platforms....he's gonna be more accurate, timely, satisfying and better value than the useless waste of space that is Benteke.

Benteke will be Parish's lasting legacy. Big money for someone who doesn't give a f***, and no back up. Just stop and pause, think about that a little, and realise how clueless Parish has been.

Agree with above comments and as posted before Benteke £ for £ our worst signing by a country mile , he has no interest in playing for us and he will be one of the main reasons for us getting relegated , if that happens !
