Our need is now so we really need strikers who can step right in. Personally I'd rather spend extra on a player in this current position than a supposed better player who isn't up and running yet. Certainly looks like he wants away from Celtic, walking off in a huff after being subbed. Looking at the press I can definitely see a bidding war around him with his fee increasing. Clearly unhappy at not getting game time at Celtic but would Tekkers get dropped for him if he came here? Would he be happy warming the bench here ? Edited by Booted Eagle (01 Jan 2018 4.08pm)

Think he has returned from injury recently but not looked as good as he was, in theory fit but if it is a lack of match fitness or a loss in form I don't know.

There are loads of cases of clubs rejecting players at all sorts of levels and all sorts of reasons. I seem to recall hearing Messi was rejected at some clubs for being too short! Scouting is no different and every so often you hear one of those `we could have signed X` stories when a player makes it big but you don't hear the loads of players scouting networks reject. I also seem to recall Parish saying he spoke to the Bournemouth chairman after playing them years ago about signing Danny Ings but he didn't want to pay the 500k asking fee.

So long as his wage demands are not too outrageous then I'd like to see us put in a bid for him but probably not much over £20 million.

The kid certainly knows where the back of the net is...but...does he have the drive to 'fight' for his place week in week out in a better squad? Admittedly he's still only 20 and knowing Celtic (based on their previous sales) they'd want a 20% (or similar) sell on clause. I'd not pay much (if anything) over £20m for him tbh..... ...the potential is there; thats for sure, but is the mentality?
