The problem is that when we go up against teams with less quality than Arsenal we downgrade our performance accordingly.

I completely agree, it is so frustrating. If we played like this against Swansea, Bournemouth etc we would be top half.

What has my old IT teacher got to do with this, he might of been a bit boring but Mr Pratt was a good teacher.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

Not bad considering what we faced, don’t get the Benteke haters, if we were dominating possession and he was missing loads of chances, but we ain’t and he isn’t. It would be like Man City fans saying their keeper is s*** because he makes no saves!
We will be fine regards relegation, showed lots of character to stay in the game when outclassed by a top four team.

Sense and sanity.

We were in their faces last season but not tonight. Wilshere was given the freedom of Selhurst.

No big calls, really, but every 50/50, every goal kick / corner, every little shove, even the throw ins, any doubt at all it went Arsenal's way. He booked one of their lot for a shirt grab in midfield to stop us breaking away but apart from that he gave us absolutely nothing. Oh, and he booked Wilf the moment he asked him a question - and he wasn't even on the f***ing field at the time. Oh, and he gave Wilshere everything he asked for, including several free kicks for blatant dives.

You forgot a clear handball in the first half.

I didn't see that because I was using Sky Go which is f***ing s***e.

For all their possession, class and quality give us a decent fair referee and we get a point out of that. Infuriating.

Sorry, was he actually playing?

Be fair, he won a lot of the hoofs up field and worked harder than he did in the past. How many quality balls did we put in the box for him?

I guess if he thinks they're not coming he won't turn up for them. We did put a quality ball in which Tomkins put away for him.

Yes that is true - he was given the freedom of Selhurst by the ref, never realised how much of a diver he is.

I thought it was a really gutsy second-half showing. Pity we wasted that last minute corner.

I count 2/3 where if he had bothered to run across his defender he would have had a tap in. But he didn’t, because he stands idle.

The ‘he’s getting no service’ line is the most short sighted used on this site, If hes not moving into the right areas, none of the crosses are going to be ‘quality’.

If he gambles and scores 2/3 tap ins, the service was excellent.

I don't think we were as good as we can be which is disappointing but there were patches of the match where I thought we imposed ourselves and we looked good. We pressed them high and they made mistakes.

Wilshere is nowhere near as good as De Bruyne though and we will get murdered if we give him the amount of room on Sunday that we gave Wilshere tonight. So much of Man City's play comes through him.

My suggestion would be to put the defender with the greatest stamina on a man to man marking job on De Bruyne, basically follow him over the whole pitch and don't give him an inch.
