Transfer targets as a set?

Funds? Harris and Blitzer were at the Burnley game. I don't think it is a big leap to assume they will have talked to Parish about the Transfer kitty for this Window and probably the next. Roy has said he wants 6 to 7 players in when we all previously were thinking more like 3. I don't think it is a coincidence that over the last few days with Harris and Blitzer arriving we have reportedly pulled out the deal for Diafra Sakho and have been linked to a 15 mill bid for Babacar. Now the important indicator is it being reported today that we are trying to get Amadou on loan with a guarantee buy in the summer. That is a way of essentially deferring the payment of the player until we have received prize money/TV money for next season. To me it looks like we are trying hard to find ways to stretch our current transfer funds.

Makes sense otherwise we're spending the summers money a window early. We've likely got £10-20m left over from last summer to spend this window and anything over this is coming from next years budget. If we can get a keeper for £5m a striker for £15m and a defender on loan then that's probably business done without breaking the bank. Let's not forget Jimmy had signed an extension so that's possibly one of the 7 Roy wanted. So four in total isn't bad... and hopefully means we'd be able to decent buisness in the summer.

I'm not sure we can. We can name a 'new' 25 man squad by the end if this month. So we could leave out Wickham, Dann & Punch and if we buy enough so we have more than 25 who meet the criteria to have to be named, we could leave out another fringe player to make room for new blood.

I'm not sure we can. The 25 man squad is as follows: Benteke, Christian At the close of the transfer window a new squad can be submitted. Kaikai, Lapedo and Mutch could all be dropped from the squad as they are not going to be starters, even if we have injuries. Wickham and Puncheon could be dropped if the physios think it is unlikely they will feature much this season. (Dann is also a posibility to be dropped for this reason) Souare reportedly has Newcastle interested in a loan move for him. This gives 7 potential free spaces in the squad.
