If he wasn’t injured I’m sure they would have come out and said. It’s not just an idle rumour after all, it’s been pretty widely reported. Here’s hoping it’s not too serious.

I tend to agree, however the club's policy is normally for Roy to be the person to announce all injury news, and he won't be doing this until his press conference later this week.

Saw a couple of things on t***ter last night...no idea if true or not though which is why I asked.

I reckon it’s tactical. He’s not really injured; we’re just letting him have a nice rest and bringing him back refreshed for the last six games where we have more hope (in theory) of picking up those vitally important points.
