Jesus this site is depressing. Last season he's the savior, everyone get's their knickers in a twist about signing him for whatever it takes, he misses a game or two and there's a bit of confusion over whether he's injured or not and people are calling him a waste of money and a wimp. fickle lot is putting it kindly. I don't understand this new mentality that we have a god given right to be tenth in the league and should demand the players be executed and the board sacked if we are not.

I'll choose to believe that he knows his body and isn't ready until it's confirmed otherwise and continue supporting him 100% because I'm a fan and I still believe that supporting your club is important - but anyone else that want's to, please feel free to boo at home games, it's really productive and definitely helps a teams confidence.

So tell me what people on here would be happy with? Don't think I'm exaggerating at all and interested to know what other extremes I've come out with. 10th in the league is very much still in the relegation fight this year.

I honestly think they could be - there are no easy games in this league, any team outside the top 6 can go 5 games without getting a point. Brighton included although it pains me to admit they looked good yesterday... or Arsenal looked terrible.

Okay, so my comments aren't directed at every fan but there are a lot on here that will always find something to moan about - trust me I do not blindly support this club without complaint but some of the things people want to criticize for are absurd.

I'm pretty sure every club goes into the season feeling they are more or less prepared but balancing the books along with having a squad of 25 players you believe are premier league ready cannot be as easy.

My main gripe is the failure to accept that things can go wrong even when you do prepare and the inability to support the team when things aren't going great. Would you have said that you felt the team was prepared had we have lost the first 4 that season?

You know my feelings on having 1 striker on 1st September and knowing for 9 months that was needed and failing cannot be good planning.

The only player of any note that left that Summer was Murray. It was the next season there was not only dismantling without either a replacement for Jedi or a proper left back to cover Souare. Look at the squad and activity. It's no coincidence we were alright.

The one striker thing was poor granted, but we don't know what the plan was for that - did we have players we felt could fill that role if we got an injury? Did we fail to tempt our targets because they knew they would be second fiddle to Benteke? I said numerous times we shouldn't have slated Campbell as much because players like him that were happy to be third/fourth choice but had experience were valuable but he still got constant criticism.

No one could ave predicted the Souare situation but we are a million miles from being the size of club that can have a £10 million signing waiting in the wings in case something like that happens.

Like I said, we are certainly not perfect, far far from it - your points are fair and 10% valid but there are plenty that raise points that are ridiculous.

Conor Wickham is vilified for having a terrible injury – all of a sudden he’s a sick note that wants to stay at home with his wife and is happy not playing football rather than a young man who’s career could have been ruined by a horrible injury.

Benteke is a terrible signing that we should have never bought, blame the board. Let’s forget that he scored 15 goals or whatever last season and just focus on how stupid we were to sign him and we should have kept Murray

And on that note, Murray and Gayle should never have left and the board should be ashamed – rather than 2 players that asked to leave after we spent £30 million on a world class striker.

The board should all resign because of poor transfer dealings – after appointing Freedman (who is widely regarded as having had a great eye for signings) to handle transfers and being royally screwed over with 2 signings that looked all but done – but they should have seen all that coming. Parish is a money grabber and should be ashamed.

Sakho is a liability and should be got rid of because he isn’t sure he’s fit. He’s not the best defender we’ve ever had and doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt after his performances and the commitment he shows on the pitch.

The injuries are the fault of the manager, the board the pitch, the coaches or whoever else we fancy blaming, not just bad luck.

Honestly it just winds me up - if we have a poor first half tonight I'll hear booing and shouting and watch fights break out between our own fans - I'm not saying pretend everything is rosy but if we just got behind the team (much like the 3-0 versus arsenal last season, the atmosphere put us 2 up and melted the Arsenal players) rather than looking for negatives all the time we would be in a much better place
