Utter rubbish.

80% of the people on here are sad Stripey Nigel's who whinge and whine about change, the youth of today and how smart they were for voting for something they knew next to nothing about, because they watch too much Heartbeat and Keeping Up Appearances

And their stupidity and pettiness does not reflect on me.

So what if a couple of our youth can't handle their drink.

I agree with most of this. But anyone, young or old, who picks on innocent people and scares them gets me angry. If they are Palace I in some way, maybe wrongly, feel a responsibility.

I am disappointed on you for your view.

The same thing happened at Derby "BOUNTY" years back...

One bloke on the train back was giving it large about throwing sweets around..... I thought "How DAIRY MILK it"..

He got "MARS BAR"red ... from Selhurst.....
Saw him a couple of years back and he said he had quietened down and was into "CRUNCHIE" and western music now,,,,,,,,

I also agree with Mapletree. By hearing about what went on at Huddersfield is something that you would feel some responsibility for being a fan.

It's probably going on with every team in the UK and in all its divisions, you get a minority of its supporter's that choose too travel and not end up watching the match.

They end up in the pub or just wandering about the area just too cause mayhem in any way shape or form, most of them think that going in shops and kicking off just for the sake of it and see it as a "laugh".

They should be identified and put before the courts and charged with disturbing the peace and fined and to be made to pay compensation for the damage that's caused plus getting banning order's against them travelling to away matches even home matches.

It could have been alot worse than some of our fan's throwing some sweets about and calling them every name under sun, if the press had got hold of it the club could have been smeard all on the back of newspaper's saying we did this and they called me that, behaving like that or if they were violence with the host's fan's all away support for us Palace fan's could be stopped just like playing behind closed doors.
That's my way of seeing it, over the top or not.

I understand why we are called Nigels, just based on this thread.

I've been wondering for years - who or what is a Nigel?

Why are these people, who ever they are, called Nigels?

Is Nigel a term of contempt/disapproval/dislike?

Genuine questions - genuine answers welcome.

Apparently so. Mostly done by Millwall fans, being the intellects that they are.

Optimistic as ever
