In terms of the remaining games, I believe one cannot assume that the relegation candidates will automatically lose to the 'Top six' clubs.

Chelsea have not been in the best of form lately and in reality are not challenging for a 'Top four' Slot.Same for Arsenal who can be hit and miss - I recall them beating us then getting a draw at WBA, a game they were fully expected to win.

Liverpool have the CL as a priority, Man Utd are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup and Man C might have won the title by the time they play the relegation threatened clubs.

So whilst we can revel in the fact that our relegation threatened rivals are playing the top clubs, perhaps at this time in the season these fixtures might not prove as difficut for them as they might have been in different circumstances.

Are you inferring that the top 6 sides will compromise the integrity of the league by not trying against our rivals for relegation.
I think you under estimate the egos of their managers.

Not inferring this at all.

Just considering the fact their priorities might lie elsewhere and for some clubs the players might not be as focussed as they might have been given they have nothing to play for.Circumstances might play-in to team selection and the psychological aspect relating to the players selected cannot be discounted.

Of course they will all be trying to win but factors might come into play.

Huddersfield away to Chelsea and Man City and at home to Arsenal, Everton and Watford.

Yes, I think you're onto something there. Only scored one goal in months due to a gift of a back pass.

I can't see Stoke and Southampton surviving. Possibly one but not both. We have Leicester and West Brom at home and Watford away with nothing as well as a game we can win tomorrow. Those 3 have nothing to play for. I suppose that counts against us but for the others.

We still have Leicetser, Watford and WBA to play all of whom have "nothing to play for" and may be "on the beach". Main difference is that their players aren't very good in comparison with those that will be turning out for Chelsea, Manure, City, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal.

n.b. I'm assuming WBA are relegated long before we get round to playing them.

Stoke could also be relegated before we play them .

Previous to beating Stoke 2-1 Away recently, Everton had lost their previous 5 Away games.
Watford have lost 8 of their last 9 Away games.

Couple of nil nil draws then. So 2 points. Finish on 34. Relegated.

What's your point?

Fact is all the teams down there have 'nothing to play for' as you put it. The difference is ours are against mid table teams or rock bottom West Brom and their's are against top 6 sides.

Your 'analysis' is just biased writing us off with pretty much no balanced reading of the games or our opponents' situations.

Just pointing out that one shouldn't write of Huddersfield getting something from one or both games, indeed they could win one of them based on the Away forms as I illustrated.

To be honest I have not just written off based on gut feel etc, I have looked at the remaining fixtures and our opponents situations.I have also considered the fact that one shouldn't just assume that the 'Top Six' will roll-over our relegation rivals for the reasons stated.
If Southampton beat Chelsea tomorrow or indeed get a point, perhaps some on here will reflect on what I have posted !

At the end of the day I am not an omniscient sage or a "Mystic Meg" and my judgement might prove to be flawed.

But you've written us off getting 'something' from our games v teams lacking competitiveness. One rule in your 'analysis' for us and another for them.

Oh and Huddersfield are away to Man City and Chelsea, not at home.

We'll see tomorrow. Hopefully we'll be laughing at this thread like the previous 4 seasons.

With respect, I have formed a judgement based on various factors and I like to think that I have been consistent in my approach.
