Not through any lack of form.He was out with a bad injury,in fact his last game for Burnley last season was in Sep 17 after 4 games. Nick Pope came in and did really well and he got injured in a Europa League game before the PL started this season.Joe Hart was available so Burnley took the opportunity of signing an experienced PL keeper - he has done well for them so Heaton hasn't been able to displace him.

I know he didn't have a lot to do, but he still impressed me. He was very quick off his line, made one fantastic reaction save, his handling and distribution were excellent and at one point he came off out to punch the ball and as well as a good punch, took their player out too. Just looks so much more assured than hennessey.

I never saw his performance but I am fairly sure that Hodgson will stick with Hennessey for Bournemouth. He has done enough to keep the shirt.

We are keeping clean sheets/keeping it pretty tight at the back and Hendo is not making howlers, no chance Guaita comes in currently.

However Hennessey always has a clanger in him, just like Mamadou Sakho, and when it comes, Vinny will get his shot in the league.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Yep. Despite his clear improvement I still wince every time he comes fro a cross or corner.

Guaita just seems to exude calm & confidence.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Mods try not to merge , I know you you don't like what I post but we has an absurd amount of posts on the Wayne Hennessey thread and this man deserves a post thread of his own if Wayne did .

Vicente loves the spectacular and looks good but today he was totally unconvincing and knocked us out of the
cup.

The first goal he conceded was abysmal and he has already stated his intentions of unsettling the whole defence earlier coming for a ball and giving it back to Watford and then punching ot trying to taking the cross off Wan Bissaka head.

Please don't state or try to say he did well with the near post saves , one which was straight at him , and one where he just had to raise his hand .
Add to this this other goals against West Spam and Man U conceded and previous to that , is he really a proper Premier keeper ?

We have two average keepers vying for the spot. No need for a thread just a new keeper.

It looked like the wind made it difficult today, but VG was quite adventurous, it has to be said. Not a style we're used to recently...

Harsh to blame hime for the whole result, the other ten didn't do much. I was hoping for a reaction after last week, but no. We'd better perform convincingly against Huddersfield otherwise our season is disintegrating.

You make good points MK he was flapping all over the place today. I suspect Hennessey would have held back and let his defenders deal with a lot of the crosses that came in. We still do not have the perfect goalkeeper on our books and probably will never have one. I guess we will have to make do with a trio of flawed keepers at least until the summer.

At least he was willing to attack those corners instead of cowering on the goal line.

Three of his first-half saves were outstanding - one exceptionally so.

At least his last few matches have proved that he is not the saviour that many anti-Hennessey posters seemed to imply.

The second goal today wasn't his fault - Wan Bissaka
was missing when the cross came over - but the first was the result of a terribly mid-judged attempt to punch/palm a cross.

In fairness he made two good saves - but Hennessey does that as well.

If you mean a keeper who never makes a mistake, not many teams do. Did you watch Pickford the other day.....all keepers make mistakes, but I think since he's played for us, on the whole he's been pretty good.
