Okay I give in......I'm now totally gone, the world has now officially gone to hell in a handcart.

What happened to that lad is a tragedy, but how many have there been .1000s.
And it really doesn't warrant this.

always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

Seconded.......This has May's Tory party written all over it.

Awful women.....just a virtue signal at this point.

She should work in Starbuck's management after she quits.

This is rather like Madeline McCan too much attention from the authorities on one individual whose life was ended tragically. There are many many victims across race and gender who have never got the attention from the media, authorities and the public. Whilst I understand family and friends still feel the pain not everyone does.

Meanwhile Greenwich council is showing a complete lack of respect and empathy with the Lee Rigby campaign. And that is the nub of the problem. What about Jimmy Mizen? and the many others, are they no less deserving? How will their loved ones feel about this?

I have no problem with the focus on his death as it is an important milestone. But if we are going down this road why not an annual Princess Diana day and so on ad nauseam.

The only reason this is happening is because he was murdered by white youths. It was a tragedy and the Lawrence family have acted with dignity ever since that day.
But so many black kids have been murdered since. Are they not to be remembered and are they only a statistic for the press? Just because they were killed by other black youths does not diminish the loss to their families.
Just remembering one tragedy as a national day of remembrance is totally wrong. It is trying to make white folk feel guilty by the left by what happened that night. It will be used as a political football. We should recognise the dignity being shown by his family.

The father acted with dignity.....the mother is truly awful.
