I can't drum up any enthusiasm for it.

I'll probably watch hoping teams lose (esp. France) rather than for the right reasons.

I reckon our chances are next to none, and there will be some sort of nastiness in Russia, if Putin doesn't quash it.

Be nice to say at least there's the cricket, .

Is it just me??

Not just you. I’ve always loved the World Cup - since 1966 - but I can’t get excited about this one. Above all I can’t believe where it’s being held.

At best I may watch a few games content that they matter to the teams involved but not to me, therefore hopefully they will be worth watching but I won’t need to get stressed about them.

As for England; forget it!

Well it’s better than having no tournament. It’s hard enough just living for transfer talk for the next two months. But now the World Cup will cushion the blow

Nothing will ever match Italia 90 though

Love the World Cup, not particularly bothered if England do well or not I just enjoy the whole format.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

I hate international football other than during major tournaments. I live and breathe a World Cup. How can you not enjoy 3/4 live games of football a day?

The last WC was a bit of a damp squib with the host nation not really creating enough of an atmosphere.

It's not just England failure but International football as a whole has become just a sideshow where before it used to be the ultimate prize, the pinnacle of the game

I suppose one good thing with England is there is no expectation anymore, everyone is completely apathetical so maybe one day they will overachieve and prove us wrong?

I'm not exactly excited but I am looking forward to it. I don't have Sky so it is a good chance to watch a load of football and a good excuse to go to the pub and watch the England matches.

I have just completed my predictions and have England going out to Germany in the quarter finals and Germany beating Uruguay in the final. In fact, completing my predictions has made me a bit excited.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I'm very much looking forward to it. Group stages are brilliant. 3 games a day. 16th June has 4!

Germany don't have the forward for me and couple of key players not fit.

Brazil will win IMO. They may come up against France in the Semis if they both win their groups. I think the winner of that game wins the tournament. Brazil's forward options are the best and I like their midfield strength and dynamism as well with Fernandinho, Paulinho and Casemiro. Up front they can play any 3 of Coutinho, Willian, Firmino, Jesus and Neymar. They also have Fred as an option who is wanted by Manure. In Ederson they have one of the best 2 keepers going and their defence is actually pretty decent, albeit they are missing Dani Alves.

We avoid Brazil in the QF if they win their group and we come second. But we'd then come up against Germany probably. Not impossible but their midfield is so much better than ours as is their defence.

Not yet but I'm sure I will be once the games start.

I'm not so sure the stadiums will be full or the atmospheres that great but we'll see.
