I'm not really sure what you're talking about? The HF created a good atmosphere, but this wasn't reflected in the results. The club is still selling as many tickets. As much as I enjoyed looking over at the HF waving their flags and beating their drums, I only really paid much attention when the game was flat and I imagine they were enjoying themselves more than those watching/hearing them.

Given I now live abroad and only get to a few home games a season my opinion is, I concede, less important than that of regular attendees, but at least it is an opinion rather than a hackneyed cliché.

It’s sh1t now though tbf and that opinion isn’t going to disappear. It’s gradually growing, me included.

Block E aren't contributing:

a) They haven't been asked
b) The HF could've still gone into block B as they have for over a decade but they decided not to.

Palace received objections after news of the possible switch leaked. So they contributed.

Now here's Wright, his first chance to see what he can do, and he's through, it's Wright, ohhhh what an impact by the substitute. And it's Ian Wright who's sent the Palace fans into ecstasy!

At the time, people were already panicking about not being able to renew. Given the deadlines, and the time it would have taken to properly survey Block E and put together an actual plan of where to move everyone, I don't think it was unreasonable of the club to suggest waiting until the new stand is built when it will be so much easier, and they can do that survey properly.

Im not trying to be a judge here as im now living in Ireland , I can totally understand the season ticket holders behind the goal i can also see the point the HF are trying to make . When i started going up the palace in the early 80s it was standing only and all the crowd of singers gathered behind the goal it did encourage the rest of us to sing up. there was nowhere near the crowds we have now as we were in the old 2nd division. I do think the HF help the atmosphere of the game the last few have been very flat like most of the prem home games cough (arse nill ) being out sung at home is not good and i hope a compromise can be found ,the sooner the better imho.

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.

Still though, toys out of the HF pram. Just stay in Block B.

The statement released this morning was a desperate last attempt at subliminally begging either the HF to come back, or the E Block fans to move.

Exactly.

The club may have over-promised initially, but the HF lost absolutely nothing by not being able to move.

They are the ones who created this stupid 'us or them' situation.

Please can 100 of You E blockers who’ve said they’re willing contact the box office and offer to move so we can get something happening and not lose this forever which is very possible. I think from that awful club statement it’s the only solution right now. The rest will probably want to move afterwards as well.

This is true but they’ve removed something very valuable to the club, fans, potential fans don’t forget and team. And Parish knows it, make no mistake about that. He kept their seats open for as long as possible, sold them to whoever might want to replicate the atmosphere, hoped the atmosphere wouldn’t die, it has, he’s concerned, very concerned, and probably hoping 100 fans from E offer to move (if a decent view at the same cost is offered).
