If Parish gives in to their demands what will happen next? Will they demand a seat on the board or perhaps to be consulted on who will be in the team or even on transfers

Pointless post. Although a demand is what I thought initially.

Their ‘demand’ or understanding was that some efforts were going to be made with consultations. Instead there was the holding back of season ticket sales, rumours and pant wetting anyone could end up in row 1 of any block on their own. It wasn’t a demand and probably still isn’t. It’s because no efforts were made and the HF are being taken for granted, which if you knew, is one of a few football trends in the modern day that’s on the rise, and something the HF oppose.

Not to me it's not, it's not just a football club, it represents the area I'm from and born, where my family are from, where I've been to school, I've grown up, people and the community I've grown up with to a certain extent our culture. We're tribal as a specie and going to another part of the country and taking 3 points couldn't be more satisfying and satisfies that tribal instinct in us.

I kind of agree with you of course.

I suppose I'm saying that if the head of your 'family' tells you something you don't like....ultimately you have to either accept it, find some way of just getting by or if not move on.

The tail doesn't...and shouldn't wag the dog.

Even though the tail is a vital part of said dog.

Yep. If this matchday experience deteriorates down to a Watford or Fulham type day at the football then when my personal situation changes I may not want to bother. Maybe I’ll decide before that although I don’t want to. I remember the Holmesdale after it became all seater and it wasn’t much fun, although plenty will claim they give their full support yet you can hear the players clearly calling each other. Grim.

Before anyone berates me I may still buy the season tickets I buy but just not attend, which is no different to anyone who claims their full support yet you can’t hear a sound inside the ground.

Or you could use a workers’ union as a better comparison and the workers being taken for granted because an agreement of improving something or other by consultations wasn’t begun or even bothered with.

To begin with I had the same opinion. But gradually people are seeing how much of a loss this and they are.

And with regard to the business aspect, Parish uses the HF left, right and centre promoting the club. On season ticket literature the HF are all over it and there’s a season ticket promotion video which is 90% of the HF. Don’t underestimate the value of the atmosphere at Selhurst Park. It isn’t just the HF but what they start or stick with that means 1,000 to 2,000 and sometimes a lot more join in to create. If that goes part of the marketing pull and just pull as a fan into the club and Palace family goes. Parish knows this, or he wouldn’t bother using the HF constantly in promoting business or using the half &rsed solution of if 100 offered to move then they’ll see what they can do. How about actually doing something they intended in the first place by consulting people and handled so flaming poorly or let’s face it, by doing nothing apart from creating p&nt wetting.

And if this atmosphere and feeling in the club descends more from where we’ve been and into the prejudice chanting, barracking and booing that’s manifesting from the back of block B then we will have a situation you speak of, of people not supporting, turning up, caring less.

Cool....you disagree with the club.

However, lets not forget.....if the club make bad decisions and cock everything up.....I'm still going to support them, championship, league one, league two....because it's about the club holistically.

So yeah...have a moan and have your say but ultimately the dog wags the tail and not the other way around.....otherwise we should be supporting the HF and not Palace.

Not a big fan of modern day unions.

Never joined a teaching one.

They are needed unfortunately because of exploitation.....However, they are often nearly as bad as the bosses themselves and are often nothing but job opportunities for political extremists and activists.....not level headed reasonable people.

My view is....and I know this isn't always so easy....but if you boss is a t0sser.....leave.

Sorry teacher. I didn’t know you had rules on this. Does it apply in general talk and politics talk as well?

Yeah you can still be a supporter without going. You and me both, and we won’t be the only ones if it’s soulless with the growth of prejudice chants and Barracking and booing.

We’re very similar in a lot of views but this is a football club and part of you and your personal life with a lot of emotional attachment. It’s not a job or shopping experience.

I still think the Fanatics should be accommodated.

OK they got a bit pushy. Yes, they might be a bit excessive.

But they're fanatics. That's what fanatics do. It comes with the job description.

It's the Holmesdale Passives that worry me. You'd get more animation out of an Easter Island statue.

I don't know any of these youths, but what I love about the HF is they are not passive consumers like so many of their critics.

This is football, it's illogical and passionate - you're not shopping at Marks and Spencer. You're not entitled to your money back if Wilfred Zaha doesn't produce the sublime and the ridiculous every ten minutes. He's human.

I'd forgive all the HF's excesses because they care about the club and they commit themselves to supporting the team.

They go over and above the efforts of most of us.

A lot of Palace fans can't even clap, let alone sing.

Who would you want along side you when the chips are down?

The Holmesdale Fanatics, or some half-man half seat moanataurs, who are so lacking in imagination they regurgitate endless cliches about 'spitting dummies'?

The HF are the best thing to happen to Palace since Don Rogers!
