Glenn Murray now has more goals than our entire team.

I don't see how we can keep going like this.

I feel like I have been kicked in the bollocks every time he scores

Frustrating I know but not coming back to us. Sure Chelski fans must be thinking how Salah and De Bruyne slipped through the net. They obviously had more in the tank like FFS.

We need midfielders who create chances - Meyer should start ahead of any others barring Zaha

Have we actually got any strikers? Doesnt seem like it, all hopeless, Benteke couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo, Sorloth out of his depth, Wickham never was prolific and never will be.....Roy just wants out, not interested any more other than as a payday!

Badly need some synergy within the team. Sticking balls into the box more out of hope than expectation. Need to work on this in training and see if it materialises in a match. If not, need new recruits who can come in and work with other squad members. So if a player is going to be able to place the ball consistently in one place on the pitch then the priority of another attacking player is to be in that place. This requires both players to be in the zone. If either is second guessing the other then the move will break down. So needs thought and team play not a mind set of trying to do everything on their own linked with others being in the right position when needed. Wilf is a maverick, causing havoc, who is difficult to guess but he gets into great positions due to his skill and should be applauded for this as he is making those positions himself. Unfortunately we don't have a balance of a winger who can work more with a striker. Yannick was even more of a maverick and Townsend seems more intent to cut in and have a pop.

Despite his size I don’t think Sorloth is a very good replacement/alternative to Benteke.
He doesn’t time his jumps of even head the ball properly.
Ayew has been used as a target man which has proved ineffective.
Roy can revert to Zaha/Townsend up front but although this gives us a solid look in midfield we still don’t look that threatening.
We have to hope for a return to form and fitness for Benteke and Wickham or a unusually productive transfer window.

Surely strikers by definition are players that score goals. Unfortunately we don’t have any of those although I do hope Mr Wickham proves me wrong

I suppose it depends what you mean by prolific. Wickham has an excellent starts to goals ratio (11 starts, 7 goals for palace, and career of 75 starts and 40 goals). But with Palace there is certainly the obvious issue of injuries. But I certainly think he's our best chance!

His whole demeanour at games, watch him, just stands there, never gets involved like other managers.....he will either be sacked after we go bottom or he will walk away!
