The narrative suggests that a designated number of seats in Block E has been allocated to the HF and it is their responsibility to populate this as they see fit IE : It is up to them whom they allow into their section.

Is this the case, or has there been a total mis-interpretation of the actualite ?

I still can't understand how CPFC can punish 400 supporters by moving them out of their seats just because they obey stadium regulations and sit down in an all seater stadium. Yet people who consistently and blatantly ignore safety and stadium regulations are rewarded by being allowed to take over the best seats in the LH.

The singing section fiasco just made the GMB London news.

Could this have been handled worse? ( trick question )

Well done everybody who has stirred this pot, the original press release ( the less desirable seats one ) was written by a fecking moron.

Good point - the club could get into real trouble if someone does point out the persistent standing in block E now. If the ejectees get disgruntled enough they could just go to the authorities and point out that the club has effectively made their old patch a standing section.
Could cause the club big problems.

Like Dougie Freedman did grassing the club up about the Cardiff team sheet? They’ll feel really proud if they get the lower closed, or hold the club back, which they’re really not bothered about as long as their 20 acquaintances are sitting very close. ‘Relegation? So be it.’ A classic one that was.

It’s unfortunate for some but it’s a good thing that’s happening. People can have doubts but if anyone can maximise the effect of the move it’s the HF.

Even if the LH was closed, would it bother the club that much? After all, a report quoted somewhere on here earlier, clearly showed that the club doesn't need the income from ticket sales to survive.

When SP was talking about the " large amount of money the compensation was costing the club " sounded like millions.

Not so long ago the community minded club Ladies' team had to secure private funding ( including from Wilf ) so let's not pretend the Club will give away a penny it doesn't have to

This whole sorry saga is getting me down. A few on here have said we're a laughing stock amongst other clubs however, a conversation with a few mates who support Chelski, Clowns, Arsenal, Spurs & WHU told me something quite different.

One of them came out with something that made everyone think about it differently. He said it wasn't our atmosphere that makes us different but the engagement with fans - the apparent 'togetherness' of club, players & supporters is something he's jealous of (or was). It seems everyone else agrees (apart from the clown) which surprised me no end.

What bothers me most about this is they are probably right. This Club was always like a family & this whole situation has smashed a rift straight through that.

Looks like the naysayers were right, the EPL will get you in the end.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Good post. This is more than just about a singing section.

Exactly nobbybm,

In all my years of watching and supporting Palace this is the most shameful episode I have ever seen, never, ever have a group of fans taken action to remove other fans from their seats in the past. No longer can we call ourselves a FAMILY club or even the best fans in the PL, that is something precious we've lost and will never get it back.

I was in Beckenham not so long ago and couldn't help hearing a vapid outburst from a supporter who I would estimate was a tad older than 'Yours Truly'.

He was in a foam-flecked frenzy about the whole HF saga and the treatment of loyal supporters in general (Not just about the displacement) and bellowed out the words "The sooner we get out of the PL the better".He was going on about corporatism, the abandonment of our core values and ethos etc etc etc. I was highly tempted to interject but it would not have been fair on my kind wife !

The real problem lies with those who are not affected in the vast majority of the ground who want a little bunch of pretend hard nut choirboys to make the noise for them.

What would Parish do if they want to sing, wave their flags and dance behind the dugouts? Surely that is a much better place for maximum TV exposure.

Probably move the directors box the the lower Holmesdale!

I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB!

Interesting piece on page 5 of today's South London Press.

Very much states the pro-Block E 'evictee' case (for a change).

I can't seem to access it on line to share it here. Maybe someone else could have a go?
