the Prem is excellent players and a boring product. The spectacle was ruined by the likes of Mourinho who will go a goal up and waste time for 80 minutes.

The Championship is average players trying to prove something and brilliant entertainment.

i wouldnt even mind if both us and Brighton went to the championship. But could not tolerate them staying above us in the Prem.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

I've been supporting Palace since my Dad took me after the world cup in 1966. Now that I live in the USA I was so excited to see Palace in the Prem and watch them live again.

But this season has really taken the shine off and for the first time since promotion I have a feeling we won't make it this season. If we do, it'll be because there are still 3 teams worse than us.

And I'm a glass half full kinda guy usually

Fans expect mistakes, but fans expect said mistakes to be learnt from and not repeated. It's a business using our money after all.

Benteke had a terrible season last year - with no real decent back up or plan b we suffered to fill the void, luckily our make shift attack worked, but it was make shift, asking players to step up.

This year we started and for Benteke, nothing changed, so can we implement plan b - nope, because the chairman didn't learn from it. He even responded to a tweet with the arrogant quote 'what if the sun does indeed come up tomorrow' in reference to what if Benteke gets injured.

Cabaye was replaced with Meyer, but as expected Meyer needs time to adjust, so good thing we have a strong squad that replaced RLC with similar quality... nope, that didn't happen. With respect tot he signings, none have lit the stadium up.

You could argue we are currently weaker than last year.

To think Roy asked for up to 7 signings last jan - of the 3 he got, one has gone back to his parent club without so much as taking a throw in, one has been shipped out on loan without even needing an after game shower and the third, not his fault, but totally unprepared for this league.

This summer was an exciting time to bolster - had we got RLC, which rumours suggest we could have if we paid, another top rate striker to compete, we could have been nearly there.

Roy looks a lost soul... can you blame him? He is finding out what made Pulis take his cash and bolt... why SA wanted out, why Silva opted for Watford, why FDB thought to himself "i know more than this cretin" and he is probably thinking - "there is a reason Parish wanted the oldest manager in the league and won't sack me, i'm the only one who wants it"

This was once a quality forum....

I think I feel the same - I do have a reason to miss the Arse game and I might take it - but then I might miss an amazing Palace performance and see us win - we never know with CPFC do we - what to do eh!
I am falling out of love with football to be honest - at Prem level anyway and Palace are a part of that.
The thing that I dislike so much is seeing us make the same mistakes week in and week out and season in and season out without learning from them and on top of that players earning a lot of money but not doing the basics of their job description correctly.
We should be in a better place but we are not but whereas in the past I could identify with the players and could walk away after a game feeling that we had done our best and failed I no longer feel that which is sad.
It is not about whether we do well or not it is how it is done and right now the whole place is a mess from top to bottom.
If we are relegated it might just be what we need.

Cabaye was more important than people thought and obviously RLC gave us options.

We seem so one dimensional now.

It is not easy supporting Palace

Luka scores the penalty and it finishes one nil. It’s a different story, people would be buzzing for Arsenal.

I’m the same. I know that this is easily one of the best periods in the club’s history and we’ve done amazingly well to stay up but when we do, rather than joy, it seems to be a temporary relief after months of misery.

It's hard to not feel like that at moment and I feel fairly similar.

Travelling up to Selhurst from Kent this coming Sunday afternoon to watch us take a beating isn't a fun day out. Usually I would have some positives as to why we would win or grab a point, but I see no real chance.

It's going to be dark days for us in the next few weeks but remember, it's always been worse.

I always think back to when we lost 3-0 and 4-0 to Doncaster and scunthorpe in back to back home games - that really was grim.

We still have 87 points to play for, not in the bottom 3 and a transfer window to come.

Keep the faith, it's typical Palace as we all know by now!

Luka scores against Everton and it finishes 1-0?
Sakho scores against Newcastle and it finishes 1-0?
Sakho doesn't throw it away against Bournemouth and it finishes 1-1?

How about if we'd won those games we'd still be in the Premier league? Let's hope that isn't being said in May...

Same here. The enjoyment has gone.

It looks like we're going backwards, and I think most of the problems are down to Parish and co. I think they're all pi55 and wind. I have no doubt whatsoever that the new stand will not happen (and never was going to). If it's not relegation, then there will be another reason/excuse why it won't get built. They seem to play the fans, and most of the sycophants lap it up. Alright, they saved the club 8 years ago, but they can't dine out on that forever. Investment is needed now.

We always seem to be fire fighting, whereas teams like Bournemouth look quite comfortable in the Premier League. It looks to me like Zaha is fed up with it all, and I can see him going either in January or at the end of the season.

Having said that, I must be a masochist, because I will be there again on Sunday, more in hope than expectation (and probably getting food poisoning from the burgers) !

You forgot about Wardy open goal miss in the last minute at Watford.
