Triple stabbing in Croydon last night. Traffic congestion probably wasn’t the reason.

That picture sums up everything that's wrong in the area.

Alpha Road, the home to Alpha males.

An empty cycle lane, the symbol of environmental rejection.

A fascist road sign imploring residents to Turn Right. Where is the Turn Left sign for true balance? And it's telling residents to turn against the flow of said cycle lane, which is the symbol of good and progress.

A white house on the corner, displaying a moral compass on its wall.

A black bin liner parked on the double yellow lines, in clear defiance to being told what to do.

No wonder the local residents snapped.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Everything will be alright when Laurence Fox takes over.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

For the sake of our health and the environment we must get rid of all but essential car journeys.

Lean green efficient public transport, walking and cycling.

I am quite dreading the return of them, it has been noiseless and liberating in Croydon.

He's just a gate keeper.

Nice guy but a white guy running for mayor in London has no chance.

It's for the publicity value.

Yes, overhead too. No commercial flights, just a few small planes having a look around. The roads in most places have been quiet - until yesterday.

The sun was out, the temperature soared and the A272 suddenly became like a Sunday at a MotoGP meeting.

Only a month to go, could get messy . . .

Fox is only far right to Sad Dick because he himself is so far left!
Khan will win and London will take years to recover when he leaves his post although its culture and history may never do so.
He should be ashamed of himself.

Sadiq, i never recall any other UK politician being so rude and disrespectful to a US head of State.

and as for Sadiq imposing muslim modesty upon suntan oil adverts on the Public transport. t0sser.

Sadiq grew up in Tooting and supports Liverpool FC. What, the London mayor doesnt even support a London Football team ?

Numpty's at it again.

Mayor sets up commission to review decriminalising cannabis.

[Link]

Note to Mayor this is outside of your job description it is a matter for Parliament. i suggest you focus on the areas of your job description that need urgent attention:

Knife Crime
TFL Finances
Housing
Congestion caused by your ridiculous traffic solutions
Regeneration of the high street post COVID

Plenty to get on there with Mayor.

His policies actively kill the high street. Tootings 2 miles of black and white posts preventing anyone from parking, pulling up or turning off the main road for a few minutes are proof of that. They have even removed many of the disabled bays. All those small businesses along that road are finished. Add covid to the mix and you can finally wave goodbye to your local shops.

I saw an interview, in which he stated that we must "encourage" people out of their cars. People are not being encouraged, they are being forced. You don't reduce air pollution by doubling local journey times and you don't save local business with extortionate business rates.

The problem is, look at the alternative, Shaun Bailey. Frying pan and fire comes to mind.

We have just become so used to p!ss poor politicians. When they are all that is on offer, what hope do we have of any real improvements to our city.
