They look cute, but should we rescue Romania’s street dogs?

[Link]

Strange that so may people in a country obsessing about refugees will adopt a Romanian stray when there's a perfectly good British one that also needs a home.

what you missed is the total disregard for the rules by governments across Western Europe.

Dublin regulation ? have a look and see how the Dublin Government is colonising all the small towns in ireland with 'direct provision centres'....hundreds of military-age men being planted into disused Hotels to wreak havoc in the local economy/demographics/culture. At the taxpayers expense.

google...moville Donegal, Ballaghadereen, Lisdoonvarna, Wicklow town, rooskey etc etc. Its a colonisation more shameful than the Plantation of Ulster 400 years ago. All of these economic migrants have passed through many countries en route.

Most of those refugees were flown in from outside of Ireland. Places like Lebanon etc.

However, you're right though. Skip 25 countries to claim asylum is very common. The problem is the border. They get to the UK, come across the sea to Larne and claim asylum in Dundalk. Many pakistanis came across to to claim asylum when the Tories came to power. The Irish government had to bring in strict marriage laws over it.

the number of refugees dumped onto villages like Ballaghadereen, Roscommon is tantamount to an extra 25% of population for the whole town. Just a load of extra men.

That is cultural genocide.

there are NO DIRECT TRANSPORT CONNECTIONS into ireland from Syria etc. The rules are that refugees cannot travel through loads of countries and then 'declare themselves in need of asylum'.....so much for the rules.

Population change in the last 15 years is off the richter scale. A colonisation, an invasion, call it what you like. Conservative sleepy fishing villages in the West of Ireland, with a history of emigration off to america.....suddenly those villages are starting to look like Thornton Heath...but with worse weather and worse football spectator options.

Have you had some bad experiences with Romanians? All the Romanians I know are very nice people.

They didn't come through Europe. The government flew them in from abroad. They skipped direct provision. The Dept of Justice officals went to camps to collect them.

I agree wih you with regard the others who have mostly come through Europe.

Nobody wants the place to turn out like England. I don't mean that in an offensive way.

You would need to show me those, that isn't my reading of the law.

It wasn't taken in an offensive way.

Seems like some or even most of those interviewed were pro immigration but I guess there's a big difference between Dublin and the countryside, just like there's a big difference between London and other parts of the UK.

Rules or no rules, its cheating the system.

It also means resources being used which could have gone to help people who genuinely need help.

It is not a need. It is a desire.

What they need or want is not the issue. It is what we allow them to do.
The welfare of refugees is not more important than the welfare of Britain.
You could make a humanitarian argument for 100 refugees or 100 million. Where do you want to stop? How many shall we take? Potential refugees are being born in the hundreds as I post.
We are encouraging them to come here by not turning them around.
