I'm never going to be a Vegan or Veggie, the former being a particularly weird bunch, desperate for the attention of being a vegan.

That said, I'm coming around to the way of thinking that meat consumption overall is becoming obscene and completely unsustainable. There is increasing evidence that there's health benefits to cutting down on not just red meat but processed meats and dairy, and as someone said on here red meat is difficult to digest and leads to bloating.

I'm going to make a concerted to eat more healthily and naturally overall, but the day is far from coming when the lamb roast gets binned!

Evidence? or is that just you wanting to have a dig? My wife and daughter are vegan, they are neither weird nor attention seekers.... are you?

Actually it wasn't as bad as it sounds I know about half of the women and they didn't pick on me. This is the second retreat I have been on I think what surprised me on both is how funny women can be when they are in the majority. I don't mean they start telling jokes about periods but just jokes. I spent the weekend laughing.

Anyway off to buy some meat I haven't changed that much.

Badger - have only just seen this.

Only man with 18 women, mate I take it back!

You crafty old thing!

When I first saw this I thought it was something dreamt up by the inbetweeners involving dinning out and eating more 'pussay'.

Then I realised it was about eating more tofu and carrots...what a fecking disappointment.

Give over pal, I wasn't digging out your family who I'm sure are lovely. Bit of an overreaction.

Interesting how the faux outrage has spread to this: usually it's the duty of the vegan themselves to tell everyone they ever interact with that they are a Vegan. Bit weird that you'd take up that mantle on their behalf!

Still waiting for your evidence.
Why is it weird? You criticised vegans (inclusive) I defended my family, do you never back your family or is it just faux outrage?
I suppose you cant back up your claim the Vegans tell everyone they interact with they are vegan?
Since you joined most of your posts have been quite confrontational, do you have a problem or perhaps anger management might be in order

Says the fella confronting an anonymous internet profile whose opinion wasn't even directed at him, because he's taken a broad observation as a personal attack on his family.

I mentioned my family in light of your comments about Vegans, you didn't say SOME vegans, so presumably you meant all vegans.
Don't think I have been confrontational I just asked you to back your statements with evidence which, at this time, you have failed to do

In the interest of goodwill I'm happy to consider your wonderful vegan family the exception and your posts as example that weirdness isn't restricted to Vegans...

Thanks for the patronising reply. Your posts since you joined confirm your highlighted statement is correct

If people want to stop eating meat/animal produce for the benefit of their own health and the environment, I'm all for it, just don't be preachy about it.

I went vegetarian for half of last year and it was the best thing I've done dietwise. That being said though, I've been a meat eater for 30 years, so I will always have the taste for it. Made a compromise to eat meat maybe once a week. In my opinion, meat is a luxury that the human body doesn't need.

I haven't read the whole thread (but don't tell the boss)so apologies if you've already covered this.

I assume that you are not vegan judging by the wording of your post. Does that cause difficulties in the kitchen with someone having to prepare two completely different meals?

I agree it is about choice.

Now on to the bit that the human body doesn't need it this is complete utter rubbish and evidence to prove this stems back to the first humans what did they consume meat.

Meat is the most nutritionist type of food their is the big problem is over produced and animals being pumped full of steroids etc but then you have that side to the likes of veggies as well so being a vegetarian doesn't make you healthy in most cases its the opposite
