The money put into the club by the American investors comes with interest payments. This debt needs to be serviced and sucks money out of the club.

SP has his new stadium dream, that costs money.

The club's opaque structure means that just where all this money goes is virtually impossible to track but it sure does look as if our aspirations are yet again to survive by the skin of our teeth and it is expected the current squad can do that.

Are we really expected to believe that our dedicated scouting team led by Dougie are saying there is not a striker anywhere that fits the bill?

We survived by 11 pts last year and finished in 11th... wouldn't call that 'skin of our teeth'

Anyone here an accountant who's modelled our finances and knows the finer workings of FFP and all the related regulations?

I do wonder how people formulate their strident views on this -- one way or another.

We're losing £500k a week according to the moronic account lecturer from Brighton/Liverpool:

I would've thought most clubs have a net loss on a weekly basis that is only offset by an annul injection of money from sponsors, prize money and TV money.

That’s great, and I know all of that, but what about:

The £100 million?

How the Americans gained their shares?

What was the price?

Where did the money go?

It’s all very well saying 2010 owner this % individually then but this now. What about the money, the agreements and arrangements that make the club tick and progress?

When you sell shares in a company, the exchange is between buyer and seller. So in the CPFC2010 sale of stakes to the US investors, the money goes to the CPFC2010 shareholders who sold and not the club.

why is he moronic?

ive read his articles on twitter now for a long time, and his stuff is really interesting. not just on palace but all football clubs in general.

when swansea were in the PL apparantly they were also losing circa 500k a week, they offset that with player sales selling bony ,sigurdsson, mawson etc.

what does worry me, is that to cover these losses we have been borrowing money against the following years TV income.

i can see young AWB being sold in the summer to offset losses and enable is to spend a litttle also.

The published accounts don't reflect this, I believe SP will have this fully under control.

Don't worry … they'll be asking for our season ticket money soon. That's got to be around £10 million?

we have the same wage bill per annum as leicester city, our % of revenue spent on wages is (i think) 87%, leicester % of revenue to wages is (i think) 46%.

leicesters revenue is approx £100m a year more than ours, i can only assume this is due to sponsorship deals from their mega rich owners who incidentially have naming rights to the ground & shirt sponsorship.

this is what we need when we eventually have a change of ownership, as it would seem our current model is not sustainable.

So you think the club's bankrupt then and the next administration is imminent?

It is tripe to suggest the club is in financial trouble and ridiculous without any proof to spout rubbish that the club is now borrowing against next years TV money.
Its perfectly feasible to have a bridging loan over the summer (while wet instalment of tv money to arrive) so we can go after transfer targets and cover running costs but that money would have to be paid back immediately the money arrives.
Even the Huddersfields bank at least 100m a year. Our revenue, turnover, operating costs are still outstripped by our income. We might not generate much of a profit but what is the point of that anyway?
