Still think a lot of our problem stem from a lack of pace and creativity in midfield. Macca, Schlupp and Luka are all too similar - great players, but all too ponderous. Nor am I convinced that Meyer is the answer - looked pretty lightweight against Burnley last week, but appreciate he may need more game time. It grieves me to say it, but Brighton had our number today and took full advantage of two defensive mistakes. I'll forgive Tomkins, as he is usually excellent, but you knew exactly what Knockheart was going to do and PVA got nowhere near close enough to close him down

ive seen so many dickhead knee-jerk reactions thisarvo its unreal, not just on here but on twitter aswell.

guys, grow up...get a grip and accept things how they are.

we simply dont win games when teams set up deep and allow us no space in behind...its not like its the 1st time its happened this season, not even the 10th time its happened this season.

losing to brighton pisses us all off however, we are still in a strong position to stay up, and are above brighton in the table.

RH played for a point today as he has in most home matches.
Hes a boring manager who plays a boring game.
Please dont give me our away form as thats the players not roy.
Hes killing the excitement many fans want to feel at selhurst.
I honestly am thinking of not renewing next year.
I could stream everygame and not take 6 hours out of my life for a load of s***.

dinosaur manager who took us from rock bottom last season, and this season we actually have more points at this stage in the season than any other PL season...give me a dinosaur manager any day.

all played s*** football

we do play good patient approach based football under roy, nobody can argue with that...points are points whether they come at selhurst or away.

maybe we shiuld just play benteke and longball all game every home game.

all the teams that come here apart from the top 6 come to stop us playing and do exactly the same we do to them away from home.

Tompkins was asleep to the dangers of Murray waiting for mistakes and PVA would have got a ten from Craig Revel-Horwood it was pretty obvious what was going to happen, Townsend wasn't allowed any space at any time when attempting the same thing and only his trickery against three defenders trying to stop him lead to the penalty, without the foul his shot or pass would've ended exactly the same as all our other attempts.

1 booking in the 80th minute for a minor foul he set up with a bunch of pussies

Place PVA, Tompkins and Dann into their side today and you'd have watched us win, not Hodgson's fault that Brighton's defenders were better today, get over it.

Agree that Roy should not be kicked into touch but given a chance. However isn't that the problem. We seem to be setting up in every home game with same formation ? Why not play a long ball game against certain opposition ? If it doesn't work shift the personnel with subs. 1 oppo centre forward, try 3 at the back ? 2 centre forwards ? Attacking midfielder ? Getting wins away on the counter attack, play that team away. Any player within the squad who sulks because he doesn't play every week due to the oppo sling out.

essentially i agree with your notion...however, how many other clubs do that? and the ones that do, do that have squad depth we could only dream of.

lets face facts, 99% of footballers are thick as f*** and the reason they need repetative training every day is to drill what they need to do into their brain...you set up the best way of getting the seasons goal into your squad and maybe make small changes now & then when needed. however, they are good at playing football. but they cant just play 3 of 4 different tactics fluently against the best players in the world off the cuff.

we are trying to do, the best we can with our squad. last few weeks have been peaks, today was a trough.

i will re-iterate my view...we are playing the best football over the last 18 months that i can remember...all we are missing is proper end product, and we cant afford the players needed for that. thats why we loan them like with michi...but you still get threads on here from people moaning who dont understand this fact. unreal.
