I heard the 4 were:

Lord Lucan
Elvis Presley
the Roswell alien
Shergar

Lord Lucan funding the new stand from his sale of Shergar and his Elvis original imprints. So we have to count them out as a conflict of interests. The Roswell Alien lives in Bromley so is a local and could be up for it.

So many people on this thread saying that they want managers from the championship or the Scottish Premiership. Why would you want that. Roy offers us stability. To be fair I do agree that we should be far higher up the table and that we might benefit from a different manager. But that manager must be a step above Roy not below.

For Me,

1. Rafa
2. Laurent Blanc
3.Claude Puel
4. Slaven Bilic

Edited by jjsperling (08 Apr 2019 5.40am)

how is Puea and Bilic a step up? both got the sack for poor results, and both clubs spent more on players than Palace

Jury is still out on both of them as managers. If either came, they would only be using us as a stepping stone to their dream jobs at Liverpool and Chelsea respectively. Graham Potter would be an interesting shout. A young English coach who has made his name abroad, like Roy, and who is now coaxing some pretty decent performances out of Swansea with his hands tied by that club's finances.
Spot on about stepping stones re Gerard and Lampard.

Utter bollocks. Why on earth would Parish ditch Roy for Dyche or Wenger? Jokanovic is too big a risk for us right now and Benitez would never come to us over the clubs reportedly in for him. Also all too expensive and too independent for Parish's tastes

Double bollocks even, why would Wenger and Benitez ever concider going for an interview at a club neither would consider in a hundred years

Indeed, accordingly exigency doesn't enter the equation.
By the time Hodgson departs the landscape could change in more ways than one.It is premature to engage in a debate apropos his successor at this juncture.

But its fun though Willo
