It's really quite simple.

From my humble point of view the Joel Ward banner was a wonderful gesture recognising a player who has been a true servant of the club and of course he was delighted to see it.

In terms of the HF, of course they bring some colour and noise to Selhurst Park and I recognise the time and effort they expend to produce the displays.

However I just wish they would carry out their displays of fervent support from a sedentary position - I believe my views on standing in all-seater stadia have been well documented on HOL !

I am not in the minority. I have sat in the lower or upper Holmesdale for 24 years and during that time I have met and got to know at least 50, probably closer to 100 fans that also sit in that stand. Not one, not ONE thinks the HF are anything special and most hate them for their attitude towards fellow fans. I do not know the whole club and unlike you I don't profess to speak for them either but based on the percentage of the Holmesdale that I know (that's the Holmesdale who have to sit/stand near to them and are directly affected by their actions) I would say it is you that's in the minority.

I have heard this view expressed by fellow supporters.
I happen to believe that the HF haven't lived up to expectations.
