I will say judge that on the evidence you see for yourself. Not much after less than two years. Still a work in progress I think.

Seconded. I've observed what's been happening over decades but since Blair its accelerated. Cummings has spoken about the need to alter the institutions and personally I think that without this conservatism or even eventually centralism is under existential threat. You have hit the nail on the head....it's all about control. They want to control what you can say and they wish to control what you can think. That's why their leaders were so eager to dominate education as that's the root of the branch which then grows into all other professions. This focus on the future and wiliness to sacrifice present day battles for the minds of the next generation was in stark contrast to the normie right of the day...as that conservative woman stated. The right were asleep at the wheel.....the problem with many of them is that they are more concerned with their house price than with what comes after they die. There is an old greek saying, 'Society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in'. I hate to say it, as I am of that same right wing demographic....but this 'future care' was not done by the right and they surrendered the ideological battlegrounds....many of them for their immediate fiscal security. That insular self absorption will impact greatly upon their descendants. Edited by Stirlingsays (22 May 2020 5.05pm) I take your points. Only to add in mitigation that 'future care' was neglected also because of the UK's (and other Governments) 4 to 5 year voting cycle. This effectively means as soon as opposing parties gain Government, short-termism is adopted in order to maintain control. Sometimes eradicating previous Governments efforts in this regard.

Over decades you were asked to be tolerant of their degeneracy only for them to turn and then hypocritically become intolerant to your values.

Yes, the short termism aspect is a major problem with democracy. It means the interests of elites have a larger sway than the voting populations....which I suppose has been a constant since democracy began anyway. Whatever system we talk about the voting population is either ignored or shafted.

So the upshot is that our kids are being taught by people with personality disorders. Who is allowing this? I have always been of the opinion that people who don't like themselves want everyone else to suffer too.

Orban has just won his fourth term in a row with a landslide, despite regular negative interference amounting to meddling from the EU.

Imagine our shock that you, or indeed anyone, would consider this story worthy of inclusion in this, or any other, thread. It seems to be neither news, nor politics. It seems more like an unhealthy obsession to me.

well said Sterling. The normals in society need to call out the whole 'grown man in a dress & lipstick, reading sexualized poetry to kids at the public Library' brigade. Brainwashing our youth with a lefty agenda. I am fully tolerant of normal LGBT stuff , but some things are of an adult content and not suitable for kids. Daytime Parades through the streets of London need to keep all the willies etc away from public scrutiny, thanks very much. You can call me prudish, but i do not like being put off my breakfast sausage bap by a man in a YMCA hat & a thong snogging another fella dressed as a plumber - and then there is the footage of women twerking their @rse against policemen at the Notting Hill Carnival. A degenerate society does all the bedroom stuff in public. not that i would accuse yourself of being a 'normal'. Edited by PalazioVecchio (21 May 2022 9.25am)
