I don’t have the numbers, but I’d be very confident that recycling per person or household is up massively since ‘back in the days’ - but your perception is that a generation who recycled less “recycled and reused everything”, whereas those who recycle more don’t - that’s kind of what I’m getting at. I also mentioned before Matov about how many will give up flying and travelling the world, give up on new technology, keep a second hand phone for 10 years, a PlayStation 2 forever when PlayStation 4,5,6,7,8,9 come out. Basically live in the past. But whenever I go out I’m seeing young people not giving a fook about their rubbish. A bit of a coincidence it’s every time I go out. Recycling at home, great, but it could be a lot better. Shoving shyte in the rubbish bin happens a lot.

You’ve clearly taken this ‘blame’ very personally - I haven’t seen anyone blaming individuals for climate change; the narrative is around action now.

So you think unless you’re willing to keep a phone for 10 years or not buy a new games console you can’t have a view on climate change, or think that we should be doing more?

The rest is a global issue I won’t hold my breath on but I’d accept any of it. I’d rather hedge my bets than deny climate change causes so not selfish like many.

Well yes, because the technology didn’t exist in the past - I don’t think that’s really a stick to beat them with. Any data on lifts to and from school? You don’t need any data to see the amount of cars at a school or speak to parents or people who live near one. Parents are being banned from driving near the schools now.

Blimey. Obtuse as it gets. The change in traffic is huge and obvious. Yes they have grown up in a technological age and a time when cars are more affordable (if you aren’t saving for a house). But noes their time to show the way. I expect no change because if it impacts lifestyles it never does.
