As you said, practice as you preach. As I say, when lifestyles or enjoyment are at stake, people would rather not. When they can put their rubbish in a different bin then they may or do do that.

Tbh I only expect a parent to drive to pick a child up if it’s at a private school because they can often travel a long way with difficulty getting their with bus or train changes. Unbelievable you think there hasn’t been a huge increase in parents driving kids to and from school from 4 to 16. Do they do it when they’re in 6th form as well? How about university in Surrey as well?

If the US wants to continue to be seen as a world leader, you have to take responsibility and lead by example. I'm sure it's an uncomfortable truth and doesn't fit the populist agenda of your leaders but these are the facts.

How about university in Surrey as well? You can look at this another way. Kids in London get free bus passes. Where I am we see them seemingly unable to walk anywhere, waiting 10 mins for a bus to take them a five minute walk down the road. Back in the day I walked to school then for secondary had a 15 min walk to the Pond then a bus then a walk at the other end. And these days there is no concept of an orderly queue, more a fight for the doors!
