Kind of liked him before he married a bit of a prima donna. Several said she’d be trouble and although I think some of the constant media bitching and sniping has some racist undertones, they’ve been big hypocrites on things and want the press when they want it and don’t when they don’t. Keeping the press from having any photos of the royal baby was a big mistake, as is most of their PR. It’s all about them, or an actress who’s the dominant partner. She married a royal but didn’t want the world and tax payers to be part of the royal baby or anything other than what she chooses.

They’re now becoming a big whinge, complaining about anything they can. She’s a dominant wife and he’s changed a lot. She’s also an actor and it makes you think that if they do give up royalty and public life, which they want to pick and choose, she can then say ‘There you are, they forced out the first black or mixed race royal.’

This isn’t that different to a mate getting together with a girl or woman his mates don’t like or can’t get along with, or she can’t either.

I just don’t pay any attention to Meghan and all this feel sympathy for her 24/7 but this is going to hang around for a while.

What is it about British Princes marrying American divorcees??

Yoko.

I think it's a big much to go on a tour of Africa with an embedded TV crew and then complain about press intrusion. I think most of us suspect it will end badly.

I often watch the Royals to see if I can see which is protecting another, and which is in attack mode. Certainly, we now hear very little of Prince Phillip. Two brothers, who have suffered sadness in their young lives is always a good storyline. Either will be in pole position at any time. William and Kate (who has grown into her position successfully) have a young family to be protected. As the latest import Megan can be expected to be moulded and protected and it will be fascinating to watch her former life fall away. Pippa Middleton is no longer considered of interest to the public by the media. I leave you to also watch and enjoy.

Having your selected TV crew in attendance does discourage other news gatherers

Just returned from a holiday where I met someone who knows the royals. I better not say too much but he is not close to them or important just meets them on a regular basis.

He likes the Duke of Edinburgh and yes he really does say that stuff. However my friend said he is great a putting people at ease which is what these jokes are really about.

He didn't like Prince Andrew no surprise there another friend served with him in the Falklands he was disliked by most of the navy.

The big surprise for me was Prince Edward. My friend had a lot of time for him and said he is very underrated by the press but what he saw was a guy who works hard and takes his duties seriously.

FYI my friend reckons that Edward will be the future Duke of Edinburgh I hadn't heard this but maybe it's no surprise to royal watchers.

Not a royal, of course.

I don't normally wade in with the testosterone banter but I will make an exception in Meghan's case, preferably from behind biting her ear. however royalty is a pile of anachronistic s***e and its a all a circus of boll%x
