Theirs would, of course, be out of the public purse! An assessment has been made by the security services that Harry DOES NOT NEED that level of security - as he and his family are not at any great risk. His paranoia is most likely being fed by Mrs.H who can't bear that they won't have their own little cavalcade of vehicles and look as important as everyone else. A stairway to Heaven and a Highway to Hell give some indication of expected traffic numbers

Why do they want to come back? Holidays and family visits maybe? That would be understandable and I would have thought in these circumstances there'd be more than enough protection for them? They don't have any formal business engagements here anymore but shouldn't be encouraged to seek out potential money earners by extending their protection. Clearly, that's what they're after.
