Point is Stirls why weren't they taught about the wars in school, or that we once had an Empire as did many other countries and cultures.
Strange that other places that had Empires seem proud of their history.

Depends which system they're in. From experience private education is much broader and covered most of those topics, from slavery and abolition through to world wars, the fall of communism and so on. Granted that was 20 years ago but knowing plenty of people who went through the state system, it's nowhere near as expansive, in pretty much all areas.

From that poll the Brexit party is rapidly becoming an irrelevance.

The scary thing is, they cant be reasoned with.
At the moment the Duke of Yorks only 'crime' is being mates with a convicted paedophile.
Comrade corbyn hangs out with holocaust denialists , anti semites and terrorists and people that want to harm this country, and 30,000 w***ers stand chanting his name at a music festival.

'Hangs out'

His approach is nothing new. Talking to both sides can bring about positive solutions. Also, it's often far more beneficial to engage with those you dislike or oppose, rather than put your fingers in your ears and continue sliding down your own personal rabbit hole. Note, engage. Listen. Not agree. Try it sometime, you might learn something.

It's finished. The moment he climbed down that was that. It's calculated though, Farage comes out of it well and with his well ground axe intact.

To what purpose though?

If you're going to look at empire then why fixate upon the British?

As for the idea of an 'independent' UN panel....I'm not one who thinks that's possible, these things are inherently subjective.

As ever, who is selecting and judging the judges and what are their biases?....You'd need an 'independent' panel for that.....it's a looping nightmare.

Exactly.

Whenever the UN produces a report the MSM treat it like Moses handing down the 10 commandments. They conveniently forget that the UN is incredibly political and that like minded governments bind together to hijack key parts of the organisation. Look how many dodgy countries get elected onto the Human Rights body.

There is an inbuilt bias against the USA and Israel and plenty of countries are more than willing to line up to give the UK a black eye just for good measure.

They would love to have a UN commission on the evil empire but will happily squash any conversations around their misdeeds. Sometimes I think Corbyn is just a willing fool.

The issue I had with Corbyn talking to the terrorists was that he represented no one but himself. Naturally the Tories wanted nothing to do with him but the Labour party of Blair also distanced itself from him whilst they negotiated with the terrorists.

Some of the IRA leaders have gone on record saying they use Corbyn to embarrass the government but that was all, once the discussions started he was ignored.

Some people have tried to rewrite history and suggest that Corbyn played a role in bringing peace to NI. He didn't, lots of other people did play a role from all walks of life the most you can say of Corbyn was that he was consistent protestor and campaigner for a United Ireland.

Nothing wrong in talking to both sides I look forward to him having meetings with Israel and protestant terrorists something he so far has not managed in his busy schedule.

You've no point to prove brah.

Clearly too partisan for that.

Try? I definitely succeeded.

Ah. A reasoned response. Pretty much agree with all of it.
