A bit of a tangent I know but I think the sad fact is that world wars aside, most often when someone signs up to 'fight for their country', they and their allegiance are simply used in such a way that has nothing to do with genuinely defending the country at all. Corporate and geopolitical interests and so on. In living memory, there haven't been many wars worth fighting.

Countless soldiers go loopy after leaving the army when they reach the conclusion that the people they were shooting at were realistically no or little different than they were. I certainly put my stock in both my fellow man, whoever that may be, that I do any government.

I go against the grain in that I believe most major 20th century wars involving the west were about more than colonialism or greed.

1st World war - Austrian/German aggression
2nd World war - Ditto
Spanish Civil War - Facism v Socialism
Korean War - Chinese aggression
Vietnam War - Communist expansionism
1st Gulf War - energy security
2nd Gulf War - Probably hubris on the part of the Bush (I don’t think the US actually made a cent out of this - quite the opposite)

Obviously there is huge money to be made in wars and I’m all for backing away and letting countries deal with their own problems but I don’t think the west has on the whole been cynically starting wars (certainly no more than anyone else).

Sargon illustrates here how mass migration....much more than aging....has placed huge burdens upon services like the NHS and other institutions....and that none of the mainstream parties or agencies will be honest about it.

Policy is complete 'feels' over 'reals' and the can being kicked down the road is pure irresponsibility for the future.....If you are going to be a young person paying these taxes in twenty years....you are fecked.

It's all so stupid....a ponzi scheme on the taxpayer.

Even leaving aside huge cultural problems here is another way to understand the financial burden of the diversity agenda:

[Link]

Bearing in mind this is from back in 2012 the current situation is obviously going to be worse (this also shows the general trend of increasing state burden and dependency).

How many people from sub Saharan Africa, Indian sub-continent or the middle east (of the relatively small number who are in work) are earning £40k per year? Even on the ones that are, how much of the money they earn is going back into the economy as there is a huge amount of money leaving the country in remittances (billions being wired "home" ).

These are all facts but we continue to lie to ourselves at our own expense and ultimate downfall.

One in and one out but are they the same?

The Brits who emigrate each year, does anyone know how the numbers break down? Are they low wage earners being replaced by low wage earners from abroad or are they fairly well off people?

As a percentage how many immigrants go onto to become high wage earners and net contributors?

I don't know the answers I suspect that the people leaving earn more than the people who come to replace them.

I had to smile this morning whilst listening to radio 5.

Apparently all of the people booted off The Apprentice this year are from BAME backgrounds and the interviewer asked last night's bootee whether she thought that the program was racist to which she replied a resounding "no" and that it was merely co-incidence.

The poor presenter was a bit deflated at getting the wrong answer but nevertheless kept going and asked the same question a couple more times but gave up when she kept getting the same answer

Yep the egalitarian mindset is fiscally ruinous.

Our long term future is a form of Cuba lite......and I'm not referring to good weather, fine cigars and rum.

It's a fair question but I think a more relevant question might be who is leaving and why and what parts of the UK are they leaving from.

The high *net* figure of immigrants is even higher if you don't offset this against people who I suspect are abandoning this country (meaning even larger demographic impact) especially due to the problems we are having in our cities. White flight is a real thing but again nobody is willing to have a public conversation about this.

Looking forward to the pet recipes on the BBC.

Finally they would be providing some form of public service.

Not to worry I am sure the bootee will be pilloried on social media for not towing the approved line. She's a victim she just doesn't know it that's how far racism has ingrained itself in our culture.

All this talk of 'Celebrate Diversity'.

Where is the gender diversity ?

I would celebrate when i see a boatload of 500 single young women arriving onto these shores. Instead of the usual bearded fare.

but according to all the Media Movers and Shakers....that seems to be a 'diversity' too far.
