we need to buy in some talent.

The squad is looking tired, injured and lacking in confidence.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

You do wonder after a good 20 mins against the Weed with Meyer pushing in midfield after a very poor 70 before that we don't just start the next game with a similar line up and see how it goes ?

So I guess the lads have decided to start their Christmas holidays early this year another piss poor performance and three points gone begging

Are you lot serious, we played brilliantly today had complete defensive control over them and were the only team trying to put the ball into the net, we had at least six brilliant opportunities to score where actually doing so would have been easier! I don't understand how everyone on here just didn't see the same game, only one team in it very very very against the run of play that.

While Roy is in charge nothing will change.

People can come out with excuses like injuries but that is just an excuse many other teams have injuries and we still had enough quality to beat these today but same old negative tactics.

The guy had Benteke playing on the wings at times.

He took the risk with PVA but why not try him more advanced we know he is much better doing forward and stick one of the young lads in left back even Riedewald.

We just can't play against teams around our own level due to poor tactics which Roy clearly does not know how to adapt to.

I can see West Ham thumping us hope it's not true but got a bad feeling

Have to disagree.. Not a bad performance.. just did not take our chances or have some luck. The mistake for the goal was PVA did not pick up the player in the corner.

Positives.... Nice to see some passing, Tompkins was superb, Benteke looked better than Monday and no injuries..

Negatives...beaten at our own game, should have made the sub earlier, blooming cold.

Now for a 6 hour journey home...

Missed too many chances and paid the inevitable price. McArthur in particular seems to have lost the ability to get in a proper shot from a succession of good positions. Tekkers blew his big chance but you wouldn't expect anything else. So that's 2 goals in the last 4 games. And don't hold your breath for the transfer window either.

The right place at the right time

..and their goal was pretty similar to the one Brighton scored last week. A striker left all alone in the middle of the box - only this time Guita got a hand to it.

Saw the game on TV. First half even game both sides should have scored but not much quality. Second half different story we dominated the play but could not score and they took their one chance. Thought McCarthy played well as did Kouyate at the back and Ayew and Benteke were a constant threat.
No points but nothing to suggest we are a struggling team. COYP

A total of 16 goals from 18 PL games which is hardly surprising when we failed to bolster our attacking options in the last window and we have a workmanlike rather than creative midfield.

You are an idiot.

Battering does not mean 6-0

The most one sided game I’ve seen us play all season. Ball on the floor against a long ball side in complete control of the game and all that with a depleted squad.

Yes we can’t finish but don’t dress that up as ‘boring’ - constant flowing attacking football for almost the entirety of the second half.

Complete dross

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

The only way we will be to able to strengthen our forward options to a significant degree is if Zaha departs.Other than that 'Loan' signings, free transfers or forwards who are relatively cheap for a good reason.
