An additional striker would be great. Although at his best Sakho is an excellent CB, he hasn't had the best of luck with injuries, and no doubt it would be useful to have his wages off the bill. I wonder if there are moves ahead re Wilf? For me, he's been the greatest player I've seen, but he clearly wants to move on, and it's probably about time for him and the club. And again, getting his wages off the bill would help finances.

So it's getting closer, same as posted last week and most probably next week as well and the next til nothing happens and this thread starts again in January with the same ITK. The fact that we have extended 4 players contracts suggests no one immediately coming in. Dazza who is your source? Or is it just more of let's pretend ITK.

Crass response of the week How anyone could suggest that by extending the contracts of four of our squad of 25 indicates that no one is immediately coming in is plain daft.

Watch Sunderland til I die and you will see how transfers pan out. Whatever people may think player/agent have the upper hand and they hold out for what they consider to be best for them. Agents will also have sources who will be able to advise which clubs may be interested.

Not everyone reads the appropriately named Twitter and many Palace fans including myself prefer to get their information from HOL and Dazza in particular but feel free to carry on reading what the Twits say

Some of you really make me laugh, I am not forcing any of you to read my posts if you don’t believe them then no problem. Maybe some on twitter know who I know or vice versa, either read the posts or just ignore them we will see what deals are closed come October. TBH I am not very big on twitter as do not really do social media for example I follow 369 & have 108 followers & most of that is to do with the company I run. As I have mentioned before, this whole transfer business is riddled with uncertainty as so many factors enter the complicated equation not least the financial parameters under which clubs operate and competition for the services of players. When one is given snippets of information from reliable and trusted sources and discloses it on such sites in good faith and the transfers do not come to fruition for the reasons I have explained below, one suffers the wrath of those presented with this information and one's honesty and integrity is besmirched with all that "In the know" hogwash that has been prevalent, as if being in such a position places one on a pedestal on HOL and other such supporter sites. Transfers of course fall through, the picture is forever evolving but rampant speculation provides for some interesting exchanges on HOL !
