Many here are just waiting to dump on him if things don't work out, Your posts do, for me and many here, give some encouragement. In any case, as the opening of the season draws closer, there will inevitably be more action in the transfer market, and its useful to know the directions in which Palace are heading.

I'm afraid that's the nature of forums and HOL in particular as the small p**** brigade are happy to sneer at anyone who might know something that they don't. I have been on holiday in Spain for the last fortnight but still logged on every few hours to see if you had any news for us

The problem with all this ITK business is that in the last few windows most of it has been wrong, or not stated until the papers/SKY/BBC are already reporting it. Saying transfers should be completed by XYZ date seems to be pretty much guess work and is repeatedly wrong. I have no idea who is in the know but in all my years on the forum there have been very few occasions (if any?) in my memory when someone has told us something we didn't already know about from the media. Last window there were lots of reassurances from those supposedly in the know that everything would be fine, when it really wasn't. That's not to say they didn't have inside information, but it only added to the frustration of many fans. My other question would be, given the tricky tightrope of transfer dealings, I would actually prefer that those within the inner sanctum of the club were not sharing information on our dealings until the contract is signed. I'm not saying dazza is a charlatan, but at the same time I have no idea who he is and I have yet to see him post something that is not in the media and which has come to fruition. I really hope you (dazza) are in the know and that this time your statements are correct as after the last few windows I won't believe a transfer is happening until a player is holding up the Palace shirt. Also, could you please tell your contact that his information needs to be better as you're losing face

One done deal and no stikers with season about to kick off. oh yes 4 contract extensions. We've been here before havent we? Still like all this speculation. Makes for good 'if only' conversations. The nearest thing we are going to get to a good transfer window.

I have been a huge critic of Parish and his transfer dealings in the past but I'm willing to wait until the window closes before deciding whether he should be worshipped or booted out
