So we bought Benteke and Sakho for roughly the same price as we got for Wan B. I know who I would rather have at CP and on a fraction the salary cost.

It's either old warhorses, almost guaranteed to avoid the drop, but who we end up having a row with over recruitment or a list of every available manager at roughly the right level, of whom we manage to pick the spectacularly unsuitable de Boar, who gave the impression of being totally deranged.

Everyone was very pleased when we landed the two of them and both of them were highly instrumental in keeping us in the Premiership but unfortunately both ultimately failed to justify their high costs in terms of transfer fees and wages

Benteke scored 15 in that season, out of which 2 penalties, so 13 goals on his own, but he also had all the playing time in the world (3000 minutes). I believe plenty strikers can score 13 in 3000 minutes.

I disagree there are plenty of players that would score 15 goals in a prem season playing for mid to lower prem league team. Yes his goals kept us up that season, no doubt about it.
