I'm sorry I just don't accept the 'we got a shed load of cash for AWB so we have money,' arguement.

The simple fact that in the last 3 windows we have paid out virtually nothing to my mind points to a distinct lack of readies.

Where has it gone? It's hard to tell as our ownership structure makes a follow the money exercise almost impossible, but it is a structure which makes money disappear very easily into offshore structures away from the taxman.

My guessing is we needed to sell simply to pay the bill's inc the yanks. We will sell Wilf in the summer again simply to feed the money machine.

If we're lucky with injuries we will actually be stronger than in the last 10 games or so, as Townsend missing has really hurt our game and Ward is a much better right-back than Kelly. If however we have similar injury problems then we will be worse off in terms of numbers as we have one less senior player than when the window opened (albeit Roy never played Camarassa) and we have loaned/sold some of our more senior youth players. Ferguson would probably have been behind PvA and Ward this season barring injuries anyway, so if they stay fit in the short-term it would have made little difference if we'd signed him.

I'm fed up as I was hoping for someone new to add some excitement and interest, but with players returning we should be more than capable of at least securing another 10 points. Today's opponents have looked to go for it to build on a strong season, we have consolidated, and that to me is the biggest disappointment.

Spot on. If ever there was a club that needed this then it is us, particularly attack wise. Think our transfer policy this season has been a shambles. Let's hope for something this afternoon against Utd, however small. COYP !!

That's 21, so who are the other 4? Plus Tosun and Schlupp are expected to be out for another three or four weeks and there's no return date for Sakho. Without assuming an ostrich position and putting on red and blue tinted spectacles, I find it difficult to be persuaded that "no more squad players are needed".

And I'm even less persuaded after today's shambles.

We most certainly feel like a club in decline, this is purely by a lack of investment. Stadium, we were promised "the money for this is ring-fenced" and will start soon!! We went crazy spending on Benteke, Sakho etc and I was thinking wow we are serious but now since US investment it has all IMO gone wrong.

What an inept pile of toothless s***e, why we let Wickham go and kept the statue Benteke, and failed so miserably in this window, if we don't go down and Roy jack it in l will be very surprised, they aren't worth the entrance money, and you could almost think run by a bunch of amateurs, why would you want to play for a team like this, when the management have no desire or so it appears!!! Just thoroughly disgusted!!

As soon as it became public how much money the Man Utd owners are able to cream off the business for fees and debts and expenses etc etc I stopped even wanting to know what could happen if unscrupulous people invest in Palace.

When it happened I thought that is the end of transparency and trust in the people at the top of the tree.

Literally imagine how much them people need to earn to keep their and all their connections lifestyles where it is!

And imagine how many businesses you could set up to supply CPFC with all it needs to run..

Blah blah they won’t be here like we are in 10, 20, 40, 50 years time so couldn’t give a tosh what happens long term

I can only imagine that Benteke has some incriminating photos of Parish that are locked away in a private vault somewhere, because why he is still at the club is an absolute mystery.

Just need to make it through this season now. Roy will walk at the end. Zaha will go. Benteke and Sakho should be sold. New manager, a massive summer where we should be looking at 6-7 players and a completely different team next year, might not work but atleast itll be exciting.

Actually bored now of watching us give it to zaha every attacking phase and hoping for the best. Love the guy, our greatest player but big changes needed.

Very true. All I care about now is just staying up somehow. This season is a write off. Unless we go on a ten game winning run I can’t see Roy being given a new contract.

Honestly couldnt care less if it's a young English manager, old foreign one, we play 442, 352, 443, possession based passing team, high pressing, defensive minded counter attacking, a physical team. I could not care aslong as it's something different. Weve been a one man team now for far too long. I'm bored of it. Watching zaha constantly fouled, watching him constantly moaning for being fouled. Watching him trying to take on the whole defense running back and forward 20 times on the edge of their box, having absolutely no faith in any other attacking player in our squad.

When we had bolasie, we was one of the most exciting teams to watch as a fan and neutral, we had on average 20% possession but we was direct and meaningful. It was end to end and exciting, this is just dire now and has been for a few years.

Second that! Only hope any new manager make sure our players are capable of the most simple basic of football - being able to pass the ball to a teammate when under no pressure.

The Manager wanted to strengthen the squad and he was open and vocal about that.

The hierarchy clearly agreed but ultimately failed to deliver. Time, effort and energy wasted on a transfer that never looked likely to happen, outbid on another and a failed medical into the mix as well. I know some of that is outside the club's control but overall it's a shambles.

While it's true that we now have players returning from injury, a new signing can have a refreshing effect on both the team and the fans.

I think we are about to embark on a battle against the drop because it looks like a typical Palace season in reverse at the moment.
