Much of the criticism either shows a lack of understanding, is reductio ad absurdum or is of rare incidents. If overall the way we discussed such issues were less about rabid extremists and more a grown up debate about the issues then the pros and cons of raising and eating meat and types of husbandry could be better understood by all. And we could all make informed decisions not based on he or she who shouts loudest.

I think that when talking between meat eaters and vegans/vegetarians it is difficult to come to an agreeable point as one set agrees with killing animals and the other group does not. Finding a middle ground is not an easy thing to do.
Also some of the standard practices in the meat and dairy industry would shock many people if they were previously unaware of them.
Because of the information available now in this modern age many people are reducing the amount of meat they are eating either for health, ethical or environmental issues.
It would be a good thing to have an honest and open discussion between both sides but on such an emotive subject I think it would be quite a challenge.

Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping.

No social distancing then? I am not in anyway defending the action of US police, but racism in the U.K. really? Why demonstrate here?

I’d suggest it’s probably comprised of and driven by many easily influenced millennials and middle classes who are pumped full of left wing propaganda and fail to find much significance or attention in their own lives.

I find the situation in the US mind-boggling especially around the unchallenged power of the police with these allegedly racist killings continuing to occur and being prime exemplar. But.. this is a matter in another country altogether and we are in the middle of a pandemic.

They should all of been arrested. Where are the ‘the lives of the most vulnerable, elderly and oh wait yes BAME people matter’ placards?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

They’ll have been complaining about Cummings for the last weeks and will continue to do so, as well as BAME being more at risk.

Your logic is based on an assumption that vegans object to others eating meat.

I am not sure they all do. I think we all agree we eat too much meat.

It was viewed less badly when my daughter raised her own chickens, slaughtered them, plucked and gutted them and then ate them. Taking proper responsibility for her actions not hiding behind hermetically sealed supermarket meat that looks nothing like the animal.

Here are lambs that had a bad start in life.
