The bbc ARE reliant on advertising tho, for those of us who live outside of the UK, the bbc world news constantly advertises in between its boring woke segments all day, everyday. It’s almost worth finding out what an “only fans” is and starting one, if that result is the outcome! Portraying something that happened once by accident as a hobby reaches a new depth of ridiculousness.

Over my head obviously. I think him playing it as a parody of the typical Irish matriarch is part of the humour but there is a lot more. The interwoven family relationships are well observed. If you were able to watch the episode when grandad wants to attend his own funeral and Father Quinn thinks he has raised him from the dead without raising a smile then there’s something wrong with you. It’s hilarious.
