As has already been pointed out what you seem to be referring to has been "mentioned" by the MSM.

However, they haven't reached the sensationalist conclusion that you have.

So does that make me, or maybe even you, dumb?

Whether it was "the largest bloody financial meltdown in history" is very clearly a matter of opinion.

I am no economist so who do I trust?

A few memes on the web written by sources unknown?

Or respectable, experienced, knowledgeable journalists with editors and lawyers backing them up?

Of course it could all be a mega conspiracy involving governments around the world who have managed to convince all the news outlets not to question things.

You back your horse if you like and consider me dumb for not doing so.

It's clearly a matter of fact, not bloody opinion. You're living it!

Stick to your ''respectable, experienced, knowledgeable journalists with editors and lawyers backing them up'' that continually teach you nothing. Diddly.

Try explaining to your children why they will never benefit from a crooked system as much as you and others of your age will.
You can't.
Stick to bickering about political issues that are ultimately meaningless. You teach nothing, you just bloody bicker for bickerings sake.

Stop talking and start learning.

Most probably arnt necessarily fully happy about it but it suits where they are. How would telling people we are 8 hours from a meteor strike or one button away from a war help. It cannot be selective truths it has to be everything if we go down your road. Very dangerous indeed. Or is it only the financial bit that you are on about?

For some reason his default position is to assume all of this is happening in secret, and that the only one who really knows what is happening in the world is him. Anyone with half a brain and a vague interest in finance and economics knows how the world (oh if I must) ‘really’ works. It is not revelatory. What is required is a seismic mass negative social impact to cause any sort of real change. And even if it did it’s highly debatable as to whether it would end up in anything else other than a continuation of the same power structures that have existed for millennia.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

I thought the consensus that David Icke is completely barking was arrived at some years ago...?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Power structures are just metadata.

What matters is who runs them.

It very clearly isn't a matter of fact but of opinion, as the replies in this thread conclusively prove. Unless, of course, you think like Trump who always knows better than anyone else.

I prefer to trust seasoned experts who offer a range of opinions from which a consensus emerges. That consensus does not appear to match your own conclusions.

I don't dismiss the possibility that you could be right. Almost anything is possible, especially at the moment but rely on it? No.

Our system isn't the least bit "crooked". It just is. It might well not suit the future needs of the world but how we manage to come together and affect the changes needed in the age of selfish populism and growing resistance to global respect and co-operation is a big problem I think.

Let's hope that the current blame game becomes seen as the waste of energy it truly is and we quickly begin to realise that we are all in this together. All of us, all over the world.

I don't know about that, I've been on the wrong end of the metadata too often perhaps!

He seems to be rowing back out of that club. I have watched quite a bit of David Icke lately. There is some merit and interest in what he says, it is just an alternative viewpoint albeit he lost his last bit of credibility with me when he stated global warming is a conspiracy.

It got worse as the way he pronounces YouTube as “YouTooob” in the pretentious American pronunciation finished me.

David Icke is a litmus test.

He's full of wacky theories and sure, some of them are potentially harmful.

However you don't need free speech to protect 'acceptable' speech you agree with.

There was a time when a lot of the laws that people agree with now were not accepted within society and I don't agree with some of them.....yet people were rightly allowed to advocate for them.

As long as he isn't advocating violence and he's subject to the libel laws then what he says can be answered rather than shut down.
