Pitch should be changed to double the length but half the width. Exchange goalposts for jumpers. Oh and the pitch should be on a 10% slant.

Once the ball has crossed the half way line it can’t be passed back into your own half which should make for more attacking football. Yellow cards mean automatic 10 minute sin bin. Arguing with the referee over a free kick decision results in a 10 yard territory gain to the opposition. The sin bin is definitely worth considering. They could have an intermediate card for things like kicking the ball away or dissent - two of those equal one yellow.

Most if not all pitches are slightly 'domed' in the EPL/EFL/NFL pyramid, this is mainly for drainage, this is why we dont get the brilliant muddy pitches of yesteryear. Oh, & Teddy Eagle is right, we did indeed have the 10 yard law, trouble was, so many fans & broadcasters hated it.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I remember an away Subbuteo fixture at Trevor's house circa 1968 where both legs on one side of the table had somehow got broken. The temporary remedy wasn't quite good enough hence the slope on the pitch was approximately 10%. It was a nightmare, but it did lead to an increased usage of one of the 'throw-in figures' [Link] although the other one didn't have much involvement.

To acount for the offside rule make it that a pass played from your own half cannot result in the player recieving the ball being offside. Should make the game a lot more attacking. This happening has almost killed football and made most matches not worth watching on tv for me.

All footballers must have proper names like Alf, Jimmy, or Bob, and proper hairstyles too. Bonus points for RAF-worthy moustaches.
